ppbPractice Focus: /b Employment and labour law /p h3About the Company /h3 pOur client is a fast-growing general technology business with a substantial international footprint and a highly collaborative legal function that we have helped to build. /p pThis is an opportunity to join a commercially focused legal team working closely with People Culture, senior leadership and operational stakeholders across Europe and beyond. /p h3The Role /h3 pThe Senior Legal Counsel will provide high-quality legal support, with a particular focus on European employment issues. /p pThe role will be based in Barcelona and will suit a Spanish-qualified lawyer with strong technical employment law expertise, excellent judgement and the ability to work confidently in both Spanish and English. /p pThis is a hands‑on advisory role requiring clear written communication, commercial pragmatism and the ability to manage employment law matters across different jurisdictions. /p pExperience advising on employment law issues across Europe, including France, Spain, Germany, the UK and the Baltic states, will be highly valued. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liAdvising on a broad range of employment and labour law matters, including employee relations, workplace policies, disciplinary matters, terminations, restructures, employment contracts and internal investigations. /li liProviding practical legal support to the People Culture team and business stakeholders across Spain and other European jurisdictions. /li liSupporting cross‑border employment law projects, including policy harmonisation, workforce changes and compliance initiatives. /li liDrafting, reviewing and negotiating employment‑related documentation, including contracts, settlement agreements, policies, correspondence and internal guidance. /li liManaging or coordinating external counsel where specialist local advice is required. /li liAdvising on legal risk in a clear,



practical and commercially balanced way. /li liKeeping the business informed of relevant employment law developments across key jurisdictions. /li liSupporting the legal team on broader commercial, compliance or corporate matters where required. /li /ul h3Required Experience /h3 ul liLaw degree and qualification as a lawyer in Spain. /li liStrong experience advising on employment and labour law matters. /li liFluency in Spanish and English. /li liExcellent written communication skills in both Spanish and English. /li liThe ability to provide clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice. /li liStrong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work with senior internal clients. /li liA proactive, organised and solutions‑focused approach. /li liThe ability to operate effectively in an international, fast‑paced business environment. /li /ul h3Highly Regarded Experience /h3 ul liExperience advising on employment law matters across multiple European jurisdictions. /li liFamiliarity with employment law issues across the EMEA region. /li liExperience working in‑house, on secondment or closely with technology, SaaS or high‑growth international businesses. /li liExperience supporting cross‑border HR, employee relations or restructuring projects. /li liStrong understanding of how to manage local counsel across different jurisdictions. /li /ul h3Personal Attributes /h3 ul liCommercial, pragmatic and calm under pressure. /li liClear, precise and confident in written communication. /li liComfortable working with ambiguity and giving practical advice where the answer is not purely legal. /li liCollaborative and able to build trust quickly with legal, HR and business stakeholders. /li liDetail‑oriented without losing sight of broader business objectives. /li liInternational in outlook and comfortable working across cultures, jurisdictions and time zones. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
