ph3Fixed Route Operator (Full-Time) - Nantucket, MA /h3 ul liSeasonal : $30.35/Hour /li liYear Round: $32.45/Hour /li liOn-island residence is required - discounted dormitory lodging is available through NRTA /li /ul h3Knowledge and Experience: /h3 ul liMust be minimum 21 years of age /li li5 years verifiable valid Drivers license /li liValid Massachusetts CDL Class C or Higher with Airbrakes and Passenger Endorsements /li liMust have clean driving record – DMV printout required for the last 10 years /li liMust have stable work history /li liCPR, AED and First Aid Certification (Provided by the Company) /li /ul h3Skills: /h3 ul liPositive attitude and enjoy working with the general public /li liAble to follow directions /li liConsistently showing up on time and being dependable /li liAbility to obtain a CDL Class B with Passenger and Airbrakes Endorsement /li liAbility to work in an ever changing environment /li liPatience and Understanding: Providing compassionate service to passengers with special needs /li /ul h3Key Accountabilities: /h3 h3Customer Service /h3 ul liEnsure customers feel welcome and properly greeted when boarding the vehicle. /li liEffectively communicate with passengers especially in the event of service disruptions. /li liProvide passengers with assistance as needed . /li liAccommodate passengers with information such as schedule, guidance, ect. /li /ul h3Safety /h3 ul liPractice defensive driving, anticipating potential hazards and reacting appropriately to avoid accidents. /li liEnsure safe on-road operations while maintaining on-time performance. /li liFamiliarity with assigned routing and detours to include inclement weather. /li liAwareness of ADA Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance. /li liProper operation of all wheelchair lifts to include manual operation, for each bus model. /li liReport immediately to dispatch any vehicular accident or passenger incident and follow the incident and accident reporting procedures. /li liAssist and help passengers with mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. /li liAssisting passengers with boarding and properly securing wheelchairs. /li /ul h3Operations /h3 ul liCollect the prescribed fare media and notify dispatch of any type of fare evasion or fraud. /li liPerform pre and post trip inspections and enter all defects on to the DVIR forms.
