ppThebPipe Support Engineer /b plays a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity, constructability, and functionality of piping systems by designing and implementing effective pipe support solutions. /ppbPrimary Responsibilities: /b /pulliDesign pipe support systems including rigid supports, spring supports, snubbers, guides, and anchors. /liliInterpret piping stress analysis results and develop appropriate support configurations. /liliPrepare and review pipe support drawings, standards, and fabrication sketches. /liliPerform support design calculations and load evaluations, and prepare and review pipe support analysis reports for various piping systems, including Weld Pipe Attachment (WPA) evaluation. /liliEnsure compliance with ASME B31.1, B31.3, and MSS standards. /liliCoordinate with piping stress, layout, and structural teams. /liliDevelop support configurations/designs within 3D tools (SmartPlant 3D, PDMS, etc.), with familiarity with Navisworks for model review. /liliReview vendor drawings and support hardware documentation. Candidate should be familiar with pipe support vendor components such as LISEGA (preferred), ANVIL, Hilti, etc. /liliPrepare material requisitions and perform technical bid evaluations. /liliSupport construction and resolve field issues. /li /ulpbRequirements: /b /pulliBachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering. /lili5+ years of experience in piping support engineering. /liliKnowledge of pipe support hardware and thermal expansion effects. /liliFamiliarity with piping stress analysis outputs. /liliKnowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3, and MSS standards. /liliExperience with SmartPlant 3D, PDMS/E3D, AutoCAD, or MicroStation. /liliAbility to perform support calculations and MTOs. /liliStrong coordination and communication skills. /li /ulpbPreferred Qualifications /b /pulliExperience in nuclear or heavy industrial projects, including ASME Section III (NF)
