Your work will focus on evolving and maintaining state-of-the-art satellite data processing software during the early mission phases to reach operational quality. /p pYour main responsibilities will include: /p ul liDeveloping, evolving, and maintaining data processing algorithms for Metop-SG sensors, integrating scientific updates from EUMETSAT during commissioning and operational phases. /li liPerforming unit testing of the developed software, ensuring proper testing coverage and robustness. /li liEnsuring the integration of processing algorithms within a distributed payload processing framework based on Apache Kafka and Apache Storm. /li liWorking in a GNU/Linux environment to develop, test, and optimize the software. /li liCoordinating closely with the validation team during validation campaigns to guarantee software quality, performance,



and operational readiness. /li liContributing to technical documentation and providing support in interactions with customers and stakeholders. /li liApplying good software development practices and coding standards to ensure maintainability and performance. /li /ul h3What are we looking for? /h3 ul liBSc/MSc degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field. /li li3–5 years of professional experience. /li liExperience with Java development and unit testing, including code optimization and efficient use of memory and CPU resources. /li liExperience with Maven-based build systems. /liliExperience working with the GNU/Linux operating system. /li liGood understanding of distributed systems and parallel processing. /li liGood understanding of software development best practices and coding standards. /li liIntermediate level of English (minimum). /li liAvailability to work in a hybrid model in Madrid. /li /ul pDon’t worry if you don’t meet 100% of the requirements.
