ppbStatus: /bExempt (salaried) – According Plug NL policiesb Department: /bEngineering – Process /p pbFocus /b – Process Control Process Safety /p h3Position Summary /h3 pThe Senior Process Engineer is a key member of the Electrolyzer engineering team working together with other disciplines to develop a fit-for-purpose system, applying creative, costeffective solutions, but without ever compromising safety. In this function the individual is responsible for the specification, design, integration and continual support of all process equipment, process control and safeguarding of PEM electrolysis-based hydrogen generation systems. By combining strong analytical thinking, a structured way of working, and an ability to explain and document design choices, this role ensures system design is as per industry best practices and compliant with applicable codes standards. The successful candidate is enthusiastic about process control and process safety, self-motivated, able to handle multiple assignments and willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced product engineering organization. /p h3Core Duties and Responsibilities /h3 ul liEnsures designs comply with applicable process and process safety codes standards/legislation. /li liDevelops and maintains knowledge and skills to address current and future project and market demands. /li liDevelops process design basis, control and safeguarding philosophies, PFD, PID, Cause Effect diagrams, control and safeguarding narratives. /li liActively participates in reviews for design (PID, 3D model) and safety (HAZOP, LOPA). /li liTakes ownership of design and additional department requirements. /li liIdentifies areas of concern with necessary corrective action early on to department head. /li liInforms the Engineering Manager regarding possible (technical) problems, risks and additional work.



Escalates issues to the appropriate management level when appropriate. /li liClosely collaborates with process engineers in other Plug Offices globally. /li liMentors team members on design work and acts as technical resource for guidance in their area of expertise. /li liResponsible for the technical design, including cost efficiency and conformity to customer specifications, as per agreed schedule. /li liResponsible for clear and correct engineering documentation. /li liResponsible for handling technical communication with external engineering parties and, where applicable, with clients. /li liResponsible for the technical review of supplier quotations. /li /ul h3Education and Experience /h3 ul liBachelor's or Master's degree in relevant Engineering discipline and/or relevant work experience /li li5-10 years of experience in process engineering /li liSpecialized in process control or process safety /li liDemonstrated knowledge and experience with (International) Codes Standards, including CE, IEC, API /li liDemonstrated knowledge of control and safeguarding logic /li liFamiliar with applicable functional safety standards. /li /ul h3For Exempt Employees – Be Sure To Include /h3 ul liExempt employees are expected to work as many hours as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities.
