ppA vacancy for a bMass Properties Engineer /b has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Getafe (Madrid). The successful applicant will join Flight Physics Department. /p h3Tasks Accountabilities /h3 ul liContribute to development of new vehicles (incl. derivatives), operational support of in-service vehicles and decommissioning. /li liDefine mass status, target mass and route to target. /li liContribute to monitoring and reporting mass at the various stages of vehicle life through mass estimations, calculations, accounting and weight control. /li liValidate mass by weighing. /li liCollaborate with many technical disciplines to understand and challenge the vehicle design in the quest for optimum mass. /li liDeliver mass models for loads analyses. /li liPerform trade studies, benchmarking and competitors’ analyses. /li liContribute to the overall vehicle optimisation. /li liProvide support to Chief Engineering and Program for decision making. /li liContribute in design reviews, weight maturity reviews, weight savings, preparing and tracking mass risk opportunities. /li liSupport marketing to prepare customer guarantees and vehicle deliveries. Load ability, weight balance. Develop capabilities (RT, MT) and processes to enable and enhance time, quality, cost delivery to the programs. /li liDevelop all the mass properties competences in our products, combat and military transport, working in a transnational team between Spain and Germany. /li /ul h3Required Skills /h3 ul liEducated to degree level in Aeronautical Engineering. /li liExperience of 0‑5 years. Flight physics or structural design and mass properties experience will be highly valuable. /li liEnglish advanced. /li liGerman will be valuable. /li liThe desire to work in an open and trusting environment. /li liAgile with good communication skills. /li liAbility to work independently/autonomously and is self‑organised.
