ph3About The Role /h3 pWe are seeking an experienced and people-focused Area Operations Lead to provide leadership and operational oversight across multiple aviation training centres within the CAT South region. /p pWe are seeking an experienced and people-focused Area Operations Lead to provide leadership and operational oversight across multiple aviation training centres within the CAT South region. /p pThe Area Operations Lead is accountable for delivering safe, efficient, and customer-focused pilot training operations while ensuring consistent standards, regulatory compliance, asset reliability, workforce capability, and financial performance across all assigned sites. /p pThe successful candidate will lead local operations teams, drive operational excellence, support business growth, and act as a key partner to regional leadership and commercial stakeholders. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Operational Leadership /h3 ul liLead operational performance across multiple training centres in the CAT South region including, but not limited to, Spain Italy. /li liEnsure delivery of safe, compliant, and efficient training operations. /li liMonitor and improve KPIs relating to customer experience, simulator utilisation, quality, and operational performance. /li liDrive continuous improvement initiatives across sites. /li /ul h3People Leadership /h3 ul liLead, coach, and develop operational managers and local leadership teams. /li liBuild a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence. /li liSupport workforce planning, succession planning, recruitment, and talent development. /li liEnsure consistent implementation of policies, processes, and best practices across all locations. /li /ul h3Customer Stakeholder Management /h3 ul liDevelop strong relationships with customers and strategic partners. /li liAct as a senior escalation point for operational issues. /li liPartner with various internal teams such as Sales, Training, Technical Operations, and Corporate Functions to ensure customer expectations are met.



/li /ul h3Financial Business Performance /h3 ul liSupport achievement of revenue, profitability, and utilisation targets. /li liManage operational budgets and cost control initiatives. /li liIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability. /li liContribute to business development planning and regional growth strategies. /li /ul h3Safety, Compliance Quality /h3 ul liEnsure full compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements. /li liPromote a proactive health and safety culture throughout the region. /li liSupport audits, inspections, and corrective action programmes. /li liEnsure operational risks are identified and effectively managed. /li /ul h3Asset Infrastructure Management /h3 ul liOversee operational readiness of facilities and training assets. /li liWork closely with Technical Operations teams to maximise simulator availability and reliability. /li liSupport infrastructure development, facility improvements, and capital investment projects. /li liPartner with internal procurement teams to drive, manage and improve upon vendor and landlord deals and relationships /li /ul h3Essential /h3 h3Qualifications Experience /h3 ul liSignificant experience leading multi-site operations across regions and different countries. /li liDemonstrated success managing geographically dispersed teams. /li liStrong operational management background within aviation, aerospace, pilot training, engineering, or a similarly regulated environment. /li liExperience managing budgets and operational performance metrics. /li liStrong stakeholder management and influencing skills. /li liExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
