ppOW a controlled 50/50 joint venture between EDP and Engie is looking for a proactive and analytical bSCADA AIM Engineer /b /ppAre you willing to join a passionate and high performing team, in a cross-cultural, fast-paced, and strongly grOWing environment? /ph3GENERAL DESCRIPTION /h3pThe SCADA AIM Engineer will take the design lead and provide transversal support to the different project work packages in relation to the design, supply, installation and commissioning of SCADA, Asset Integrity Monitoring systems and other supporting systems required to operate the assets. As part to the role’s responsibility, the SCADA AIM Engineer will ensure that the systems installed at site meet the defined OW’s standards and the project can be integrated into those centralized systems required for the correct supervision of OW’s portfolio including the real time monitorization and control of the fleet. /ph3MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES /h3ulliLead the development of the employer requirements applicable to the different work packages to ensure that the design of the SCADA, AIM and operational support systems is delivered with according to the OW’s standards. /liliLead the delivery of the SCADA, AIM and operational support systems and provide technical support to the different work packages to ensure the project is delivered a per the Employer Requirements and it can be operated as per OW’s procedures and local regulations. /liliIdentify the project’s stakeholders and ensure that the systems comply with any 3rd party requirements, specially in terms of, data interfaces, data delivery and 3rd party control over OW’s assets. /liliSupport the commissioning of the SCADA, AIM and operational support systems to guarantee the correct operation of the project and its integration into OW’s fleet wise platform and tools.



/liliLead the adoption of the cybersecurity standards defined by OW across the different systems and elements at site. /liliSupport OW IT with the definition of requirements for the design site DMZ according to OW’s standard and cybersecurity requirements. /liliSupport OW IT with the delivery, at site level, of the required connectivity and telecommunication infrastructure to ensure the integration of the local systems in to OW’s OT cloud. /liliWork with the rest of the Operational Infrastructure and Performance team in the development of OW’s standard to support the integration of new assets and streamline its development. /liliIdentify opportunities to optimize the SCADA, AIM and operational support systems delivery for OW’s assets. /li /ulh3ACADEMIC BACKGROUND AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE /h3ulliA degree in a relevant engineering discipline (i.e., Computer networks, Industrial Automation, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering) is required. /liliMinimum of 5 years of experience working with SCADA technologies, control, and automation systems. /liliExperience in wind, other renewable energies or electricity transmission is strongly preferred. /li /ulh3REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND COMPTENCIES: /h3pDemonstrable knowledge in the following areas is required: /pulliWind farm operations and the associated SCADA systems and network infrastructure requirements is essential. /liliStandards associated with SCADA systems design, especially those used in the wind and energy transmission sectors (i.e., IEC60870-5-101/104, IEC61850, OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, ICCP etc.).



/liliComplex LAN and WAN configurations and industrial networking hardware. /liliCloud computing. /liliSCADA engineering and maintenance tasks. /liliCybersecurity for OT networks. /liliExperience on the whole project life cycle from early requirements definition to commissioning and project handover is strongly recommended. /li /ulpKnowledge of the following areas is desirable: /pulliSubstation topologies and high voltage components. /liliWind Turbine design and wind farm topologies. /liliCondition monitoring, substation automation, protection, and metering systems. /liliGrid connection requirements and grid codes. /liliTypical forms of service contract. /liliRelevant Industry standards. /liliNegotiation support during issues, modifications, and upgrades. /liliRisk analysis and techno-economic modelling. /li /ulh3LANGUAGES /h3pThe company has an international team of employees, and the working language is English. Candidates need to be fluent in English both spoken and written.
