As a senior engineer, you will lead technical studies, guide engineering decisions, and support multidisciplinary teams throughout the complete project lifecycle. From tender evaluations and system studies to control design, testing, and commissioning, you will provide technical expertise that ensures reliable and high-performing HVDC solutions for our customers. This is an excellent opportunity to join a globally recognised engineering organisation, collaborate with leading HVDC specialists, and help establish a new engineering capability in Spain while contributing to projects that accelerate the world's energy transition. /p h3How You'll Make An Impact /h3 ul liLead power system studies and dynamic simulations for complex HVDC transmission projects. /li liDrive technical decisions related to control strategies, system performance and engineering solutions throughout project execution. /li liAct as a technical reference within project teams, supporting and mentoring less experienced engineers when required. /li liParticipate in customer discussions, technical reviews, Factory System Tests and selected commissioning activities worldwide. /li liCollaborate with multidisciplinary international teams to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective project delivery.



/li liContribute to the continuous development of engineering practices while helping build and grow the new Spanish engineering team. /li /ul h3Your Background /h3 ul liBachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Engineering Physics or a related discipline. /li liSolid experience in power system studies, HVDC, FACTS, grid integration or similar complex electrical engineering environments. /li liStrong knowledge of simulation tools such as PSCAD, PSSE, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, Matlab, ETAP or equivalent. /li liProven ability to work independently, lead technical activities and manage complex engineering challenges. /li liFluent English is required; Spanish is highly valued and Swedish would be an advantage. /li liStrong communication, collaboration and leadership skills, with a proactive approach and the ability to influence technical decisions within international project teams. /li /ul h3About Us /h3 pHitachi Energy is a general technology leader advancing a sustainable energy future for all.
