ppPrimark Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain /p h3Payroll Coordinator /h3 pPrimark is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join our team in Madrid. /p h3What You’ll Do /h3 ul liHelp ensure that all store payrolls (including own store payrolls) are delivered to a high standard of accuracy and in accordance with current Spain and Portugal legislations, company regulations and collective agreements. /li liFollow detailed payroll checking procedures across all areas such as report production, payroll checking and correction, sickness processing, etc. /li liProvide adaptable support to the Iberia payroll team. /li liLiaise with governing and statutory bodies as required for any research. /li liCarry out Time-pro, WD data validations and any uploads. /li liAssist with tax year‑end duties such as balance reconciliations and tax control accounts. /li liProcess timely payments to employees and authorities in both Spain and Portugal. /li liPerform payroll/finance reconciliations. /li liWrite, modify and produce reports for payroll and wider business such as sickness reconciliation reporting from FIE data, trade unions, dismissal. /li liAssist the payroll manager during internal and external payroll audits. /li liContinuously embrace system and process improvements to boost payroll delivery, accuracy and compliance. /li liOther duties as may be required – taking on additional responsibility to support international payroll. /li /ul h3What You’ll Bring /h3 ul liDegree in labour relations, business administration or related studies. /li liUp‑to‑date working knowledge of payroll practices. /li liExperience resolving problems that can affect payroll.
/li liExperience with tax year‑end practices and requirements. /li liAbility to work under pressure and commit to tight deadlines. /li liAbility to communicate effectively at all levels, both written and spoken. /li liIntermediate English‑speaking level (ideally). /li liMicrosoft Excel knowledge at intermediate level or above. /li liAbility to work on own initiative as well as part of a wider team, whilst managing workloads and remaining flexible. /li liDetailed knowledge of payroll rules and common payroll problems that can occur. /li liStrong analytical ability. /li liAbility to influence and interact well with team members. /li liOrganizational and time‑management skills in managing multiple, diverse and sometimes conflicting priorities. /li liExperience in payroll compliance practices. /li liAbility to make decisions in a timely manner. /li liTypically, 5 or more years of payroll experience preferable. /li liVery good experience and knowledge of current labour law in both Spain and Portugal. /li /ul h3About Primark /h3 pAt Primark, people matter.
