ph3PURPOSE /h3 pSITA for Aircraft is seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to drive the design, implementation, and evolution of its Enterprise Data Platform built on Databricks. This role combines technical leadership, platform architecture, and hands-on engineering. The successful candidate will work closely with the Product Owner to define and deliver the platform roadmap while establishing the technical foundations required to scale the team and the platform over time. As one of the first dedicated resources on the platform, the Technical Lead will be expected to actively build solutions, establish engineering standards, and make day-to-day technical implementation decisions. The platform will become the foundation for governed data products, self-service analytics, AI/ML initiatives, operational data consumption, and enterprise reporting capabilities across SITA for Aircraft. /p h3RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 h3Technical Leadership /h3 ul liAct as the technical leader of the Enterprise Data Platform Scrum Team. /li liPartner with the Product Owner to translate business priorities into technical solutions. /li liDrive technical decisions and establish platform standards. /li liDefine architecture principles, engineering practices, and implementation patterns. /li liLead design reviews and ensure consistency across platform components. /li /ul h3Platform Engineering /h3 ul liDesign, develop, and maintain core platform capabilities on Databricks. /li liBuild ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and data sharing solutions. /li liImplement and optimize data pipelines using Spark, PySpark, SQL, and Databricks-native services. /li liDesign and implement data products and reusable platform services. /li liContribute directly to platform development activities and proof-of-concepts.



/li /ul h3Governance Security /h3 ul liImplement governance-by-design using Unity Catalog, metadata, lineage, and access controls. /li liDefine standards for data quality, lifecycle management, and schema evolution. /li liEnsure secure and governed access to enterprise data assets. /li liCollaborate with Security and Data Governance stakeholders to enforce compliance requirements. /li /ul h3Team Development /h3 ul liMentor future Data Engineers joining the team. /li liEstablish engineering standards and best practices. /li liSupport recruitment and technical assessment of future team members. /li /ul h3QUALIFICATIONS /h3 h3Experience /h3 ul liBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. /li li5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or Data Architecture. /li liStrong hands-on experience with Databricks in production environments. /li liStrong experience with Spark, PySpark, SQL, and modern data engineering practices. /li liExperience designing and building cloud-native data platforms on Azure. /li liExperience implementing Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks Workflows, and data governance controls. /li liExperience building scalable batch and streaming data pipelines. /li liStrong understanding of data products, metadata management, lineage, and platform governance. /li liAbility to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.



/li /ul h3Education Qualifications /h3 ul liDatabricks certifications. /li liExperience with Data Products, Data Mesh, or modern data platform operating models. /li liExperience with Power BI integration and semantic data models. /li liExperience supporting AI/ML workloads and analytics platforms. /li liExperience in aviation or similar operational industries is a plus. /li liEnglish required.
