Our projects range from railways to hospitals to large scale residential developments to carbon-neutral office buildings. /p h3Key responsibilities /h3 pAs a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and modelling civil systems by working collaboratively with the many other disciplines at Bryden Wood. /p pYou will be expected to manage and produce designs independently for small to medium projects, and under supervision for larger, more complex projects. /p pSupport and/or lead submissions and approvals with relevant Spanish bodies and authorities. /p h3Technical skills /h3 ul liGood level of civil design capability including levels, underground drainage, pavements and roads, flooding, and earthworks. /li liGood understanding of the design of below ground utilities (ducts, pipes, and chamber coordination and specification) is preferred; working knowledge and willingness to learn is essential. /li liExperience with submission and approval with relevant Spanish bodies and authorities (Colegio de Ingenieros, municipalities, environmental authorities,



statutory undertakers, and other stakeholders). /li liExperience with approval processes for sewer connections and adoptions, including applications with the local municipality. /li liKnowledge of UK and European codes is an advantage. /li liProficiency in (and enthusiasm for) design and modelling software including Autodesk Civil 3D and hydraulic modelling software such as InfoDrainage. /li /ul pA good understanding of BIM requirements. Knowledge of Revit beneficial but not necessary. If the candidate does not have experience with Revit, a willingness to learn will be an advantage. /p h3About you /h3 ul liMinimum 3 years’ experience of working in a civil engineering design office. /li liFluent in spoken and written English and Spanish. /li /ul pThis description reflects the core activities of the role and is not intended to be exhaustive.
