The Operations team is responsible for processing games to generate content and insights. /ppAs an engineer on this team, you will help build and maintain internal tools, integrations with data providers, monitoring and alerting systems, and more. /ppIn general, you will help automate processes in order to allow us to advance in our journey of scaling from a handful of competitions to dozens. Key technologies are Python, Postgres, Kafka, Kubernetes,



with almost all the day-to-day work in Python -- also React, BigQuery, and dbt could come up depending on the project (of course, we don't expect knowledge of all of these). /ppWe also regularly move individual contributors between teams both "on loan" and on a more permanent basis depending on how priorities, resources, and individual interests evolve over time. This position is currently mixed remote/office at the discretion of each individual and each team. /ppSome engineering teams come to the office roughly weekly (those who can) although Operations is not currently doing so. /ppNevertheless, we do prefer candidates in the Barcelona area or Spain more generally for administrative reasons but will consider international applications as well, not more than 4 time zones away. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliDesign, build and support modern and scalable data pipelines using data processing frameworks, technologies, and platforms. /liliUse best practices around CI/CD, automation, testing, and monitoring of analytics pipelines. /liliCollaborate with software engineers, researchers, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand what data is required and how best to make it available in our platform. /liliImprove our cloud architecture and design new architectures as the need arises.
