This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care through effective staff leadership, clinical oversight, regulatory compliance, and continuous performance improvement. The Nurse Manager partners with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and hospital leadership to support safe staffing, positive patient outcomes, and a culture of accountability and professional development. /p h3Essential Functions /h3 ul liProvides leadership and oversight of daily nursing operations for the Medical/Surgical unit. /li liEnsures safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care in accordance with professional nursing standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements. /li liManages staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet patient care needs and productivity targets. /li liRecruits, orients, coaches, evaluates, and develops nursing staff; addresses performance issues in accordance with policy. /li liMonitors quality indicators (e.g., patient safety events, patient satisfaction, core measures) and implements improvement initiatives as needed. /li liPromotes a culture of patient safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning. /li liEnsures compliance with accreditation standards, state and federal regulations, and organizational policies. /li liCollaborates with physicians, case management, ancillary departments, and leadership to optimize patient flow and care coordination. /li liParticipates in departmental meetings,
