ppbARQUIMEA /b, we are a btechnology company /b operating globally and providing innovate solutions and products in highly demanding sectors. /ppOur areas of activity are bAerospace, Defense Security, Big Science, Biotechnology and Fintech. /b /ph3Main function and scope: /h3pWe are looking for a bMechanical Engineer /b to join the Robotics Mechanical Design Team within bPULSAR HRI /b, ARQUIMEA’s robotics area focused on high-performance motors, actuators and advanced robotic systems. /ppThe successful candidate will work on the bdesign, development, integration, testing and validation of mechanical subsystems /b for complex mechatronic and optronic platforms. The role is especially oriented toward systems involving bprecision mechanics, mechanical simulation, stabilized structures, sensor payloads, pan-tilt mechanisms, actuation, environmental protection, thermal management and product-oriented mechanical design /b. /ppThe candidate will contribute to the development of systems including ruggedized assemblies that may integrate optical sensors, actuators, bearings, transmissions, enclosures, thermal management components and mechanical interfaces. These systems must operate reliably in technically demanding environments and require a strong balance between mechanical performance, manufacturability, robustness, maintainability and practical testing. /ppThis role is focused on bhands‑on mechanical engineering /b: turning concepts into CAD models, drawings, prototypes, test setups, validated assemblies and production‑ready designs. The candidate will work closely with software, control, electronics, systems, manufacturing and testing teams to ensure that mechanical solutions are technically sound, buildable, testable and aligned with system‑level requirements. /ppThe candidate is bnot expected to be a senior expert in every area /b. We are looking for someone with solid mechanical engineering fundamentals, good technical judgement, curiosity, practical problem‑solving ability and a willing disposition to learn, build, test and improve real systems. /ph3Core Functions: /h3ulliDesign mechanical parts, assemblies and subsystems for robotic, mechatronic and optronic platforms. /liliDevelop mechanical concepts for stabilized payloads, pan-tilt systems, sensor integration, actuator integration, enclosures, structural supports and precision mechanisms. /liliCreate and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, 2D manufacturing drawings, bills of materials and technical documentation. /liliSupport the mechanical development of ruggedized systems operating in demanding environments, considering stiffness, vibration, shock, sealing, corrosion, thermal behaviour, weight, manufacturability and maintainability. /liliDesign mechanical interfaces for cameras, optical payloads, sensors, motors, actuators, electronics, cable routing, connectors and auxiliary subsystems. /liliWork on prototype design, assembly, integration, testing, debugging and iterative improvement of mechanical solutions. /liliParticipate in mechanical testing and validation activities, including functional testing, alignment checks, load tests, vibration-related evaluations,



thermal checks, endurance tests and assembly verification. /liliSupport tolerance analysis, material selection, bearing selection, fastening strategies, sealing approaches and mechanical architecture decisions. /liliCollaborate with manufacturing suppliers and internal teams to ensure that parts can be machined, assembled, inspected and maintained effectively. /liliApply design-for-manufacturing, design-for-assembly and design-for-test principles from early development stages. /liliIdentify mechanical risks, diagnose failures or performance limitations and propose practical corrective actions. /liliContribute to the integration of mechanical systems with electronics, embedded devices, control software, sensors and actuation technologies. /liliSupport the preparation of prototypes, test benches, laboratory setups and field-test configurations. /liliProvide feedback to actuator, motor, electronics, software and control teams based on real mechanical integration constraints and system-level behaviour. /liliCollaborate in multidisciplinary technical planning with mechanical, electronics, software, control, systems, testing, manufacturing and product teams. /liliMaintain clear technical documentation, including design rationale, test results, assembly procedures and lessons learned. /li /ulh3Candidate requirements: /h3ulliDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering or similar. /lili0-3 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical design, product development, mechatronic systems, robotic systems, precision mechanisms, electromechanical equipment or similar technical environments. /liliStrong mechanical engineering fundamentals, including statics, dynamics, materials, tolerances, manufacturing processes and mechanical design principles. /liliGood practical ability with 3D CAD tools and mechanical assembly design. /liliAbility to produce clear 2D drawings and define appropriate tolerances, materials, finishes and manufacturing requirements. /liliExperience designing mechanical parts for machining, sheet metal, additive manufacturing or other common manufacturing processes. /liliPractical understanding of mechanical assembly, prototyping, troubleshooting and testing. /liliAbility to work with real hardware, identify mechanical issues and propose simple, robust and testable solutions. /liliBasic understanding of mechatronic systems involving motors, actuators, sensors, electronics and control interfaces. /liliAbility to work with evolving requirements, incomplete information and technical uncertainty while maintaining a practical engineering approach. /liliStrong willingness to learn, take ownership, ask good questions and contribute beyond a narrowly defined role.



/liliGood communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with software, electronics, control, systems, manufacturing and testing teams. /liliFluent English, both written and spoken. /liliWillingness to relocate to the Canary Islands or Madrid, Torrejón. /liliCuriosity, creativity, tenacity and a collaborative attitude. /li /ulh3Any relevant experience related to the following is a plus: /h3ulliExperience with ruggedized mechanical design for aerospace, defence, naval, robotics, industrial or outdoor environments. /liliKnowledge of vibration, shock, thermal management, sealing, ingress protection, corrosion protection or environmental qualification. /liliExperience with precision mechanisms, bearings, gears, belt drives, direct‑drive actuation, harmonic drives or compact transmission systems. /liliExperience integrating motors, actuators, encoders, sensors, cameras, IMUs, rangefinders or electronics into mechanical assemblies. /liliFamiliarity with mechanical simulation tools, including basic FEA for stiffness, stress, modal or thermal analysis. /liliKnowledge of GDT, tolerance stack‑up analysis and inspection methods. /liliExperience with prototype manufacturing, supplier interaction, assembly procedures and mechanical verification plans. /liliExperience designing test benches, fixtures, alignment tools or validation setups. /liliFamiliarity with cable routing, connector integration, electronics packaging and mechanical‑electrical interface constraints. /liliExperience with product development from concept to prototype, validation and production‑oriented design. /liliBackground in robotics, aerospace, defence, industrial machinery, precision equipment or other technically demanding environments. /liliBasic understanding of control systems, actuation technologies or robotic system integration. /liliPersonal profile /liliWe’re looking for curious, creative, tenacious and collaborative people, eager to do things and unafraid to tackle challenges in order to contribute to improving the society in which we live. /liliThe adecuado candidate is someone who enjoys building real systems, learning from tests, solving practical engineering problems and working in close contact with multidisciplinary teams.
