You will implement core platform services—identity management, transactional flows, data consistency—design and utilise high‑performance APIs, and engage hands‑on with the entire stack from backend services and database migration to observability, testing and back‑office tools. /p pYou will collaborate daily with a Senior Engineer, the Head of Engineering, and a Platform/DevOps Engineer on architecture, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) and operational excellence. Modern AI tools will be leveraged to accelerate delivery without compromising quality. /p h3What You’ll Be Doing /h3 ul liImplement core platform services such as identity management, transactional flows and data consistency guarantees within a new event‑driven architecture, collaborating closely with senior engineers. /li liDesign event‑driven asynchronous flows that ensure strong guarantees of idempotency, consistency and auditability by following patterns developed with senior engineers. /li liCreate high‑performance, low‑latency APIs adhering to contract‑first and RESTful principles, while utilising agreed‑upon versioning strategies.



/li liWrite safe, backwards‑compatible database migrations using tools like Flyway or Liquibase, with reviews conducted by senior engineers. /li liIntegrate Keycloak for authentication and authorisation based on established configurations. /li liAdopt a testing‑first approach: write unit, integration, contract and end‑to‑end tests where they add value. /li liInstrument every service from day one with Prometheus metrics, structured logging, correlation IDs and distributed tracing (using OpenTelemetry or Jaeger). /li liDevelop back‑office tools and embeddable UI widgets (registration, login, profile management, operational workflows) leveraging the platform APIs. /li liUtilise AI tools for code generation, test creation, refactoring and scaffolding to accelerate development. /li liActively engage in infrastructure decisions, DevOps practices and quality discussions across all areas. /li /ul h3What We’re Looking For /h3 ul liHigher education in Computer Science (or similar) or equivalent practical experience. /li liMinimum 4 years in software engineering, with a strong backend focus where correctness and reliability mattered.



/li liSolid Java + Spring Boot experience; you’ve shipped production services and understand their failure modes. /li liExperience with Kafka or other messaging systems, including delivery guarantees, duplicates and ordering. /li liGood understanding of distributed systems concepts: eventual consistency, sagas, idempotency and handling partial failures. /li liStrong SQL skills: transactions, isolation levels, indexing basics and safe, backwards‑compatible migrations. /li liTest‑first mindset across the test pyramid using modern Java testing tools (JUnit 5, AssertJ, Mockito, Testcontainers, WireMock, Pact/Spring Cloud Contract). /li liWorking knowledge of Docker and containerised environments. /li liFamiliarity with caching/in‑memory stores (e.g., Redis) and related consistency trade‑offs. /li liCuriosity and hands‑on use of AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor). /li /ul h3Nice To Have /h3 ul liExperience in iGaming, payments or fintech, especially in regulated or multi‑jurisdiction environments. /li liKeycloak integration experience for authentication and authorisation. /li liExperience building internal tools/back‑office UIs with React, Vue, Angular or similar. /li liAwareness of Kubernetes operations and working in small, high‑ownership teams. /li /ul h3Why You’ll Love It Here /h3 pCompensation and benefits are competitive and tailored to the local market.
