ph3Job Description /h3 pThe Manager, Strategic Sourcing Mechanical Systems position will be based out of Madrid, Spain. This is a key role supporting mechanical sourcing across the portfolio of mechanical products within Nextpower’s offering. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liSupport and drive execution of sourcing strategy across categories within mechanical systems including fasteners, tools and consumables, foundation equipment and consumables, gear boxes, dampers, field robotics and other mechanical systems as a part of Nextpower’s product portfolio. /li liRegional (EU) lead for supplier relationships across categories, collaborating with leadership in the US, India and China to execute specific objectives and activities. /li liIdentify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and establish strategic partnerships to ensure a robust supply chain. /li liEstablish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing performance to ensure the highest quality standards and delivery timelines. /li liContinuously evaluate supplier performance, including cost, quality, engineering support and reliability, and implement corrective actions when necessary. /li liCollaborate with suppliers to drive innovation, cost reduction initiatives, and process improvements. /li liCollaborate with internal stakeholders, such as engineering, operations, and quality assurance, to align sourcing activities with production requirements and quality standards. /li liDrive cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation, supplier selection, and value engineering. /li liDevelop and implement effective procurement processes and procedures,
ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. /li liIdentify and mitigate risks related to the sourcing and procurement of mechanical components, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or supplier financial instability. /li liDevelop and implement contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential disruptions on the organization’s operations. /li liMonitor market trends, pricing, and availability of mechanical components, and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly. /li liFoster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability within the team. /li /ul h3Required Qualifications Experience /h3 ul li8-12 years of experience in strategic sourcing for mechanical parts such as tools, fasteners, gear boxes, dampers, robotics, heavy equipment etc. /li liStrong experience managing a supplier base. /li liExperience collaborating with a general team. /li liDeep knowledge about manufacturing process and mechanical assemblies. /li liMust be a skilled negotiator, highly analytical, creative and an effective communicator. /li liHigh degree of autonomy and accountability for results. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications Experience /h3 ul liExperience in Solar or renewable energy or construction field. /li liWillingness to travel (30%) to Asia and EU within US. /li liLanguages: Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is required; other European languages are a plus. /li /ul h3We Are Looking For Someone Who Demonstrates /h3 ul liIntense collaboration /li liPassionate customer focus /li liThoughtful, fast, disciplined execution /li liTenacious commitment to continuous improvement /li liRelentless drive to win /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
