About Stark Stark builds the world’s most powerful electric motorcycles. From the VARG MX to the road-legal VARG EX & SM, our bikes have won world championships and are engineered to outperform anything with a combustion engine. We’re based in Sant Boi, Barcelona, growing fast (77% year-on-year), and building a team that will take us even further. If you want to work on a product that people are genuinely obsessed with, this is it. Stark will become the general market leader in premium motorcycles. Building premium motorcycles requires innovation and we need your help to make us succeed in building the backend for our AI systems. Our mission is to lead the way towards a sustainable motorcycle industry, by reducing plastic and CO2 pollution. This will be achieved by building sustainable products that are superior to traditional technology in terms of Performance, Emotion and Design. The Role Stark is scaling rapidly across multiple jurisdictions — Spain, the US (Tampa), and China (Shanghai) — with an IPO on the horizon. Tax has historically been managed as part of a broader finance remit, supported by external advisors. That model has reached its limit. We need a dedicated tax professional who will be the internal owner of all tax positions — compliance, planning, risk management, and the processes that will support audit-ready financials for a public listing. External advisors support execution; you own the decisions. This role is the foundation of Stark’s future in-house tax function and will evolve into a leadership position as the company approaches IPO. You will ensure Stark’s tax position is defensible under IPO-level scrutiny, with documentation standards suitable for auditors, regulators, and public investors. You’ll report to the Head of Financial Accounting and work closely with the CFO and the broader finance team. You are comfortable operating as a one-person tax function in a high-growth environment. You prioritize clarity over perfection and deliver under tight deadlines. You are building Stark’s tax function from zero to IPO-ready. What You’ll Do Tax Ownership & Compliance Own all corporate income tax filings, quarterly and annual, across all group entities Manage VAT returns, indirect tax compliance, and indirect tax structuring for e-commerce and export channels across all EU and international transactions Oversee transfer pricing documentation and intercompany pricing policies across Spain, US, and China entities Coordinate tax filings and compliance for non-Spanish entities with local advisors in Tampa and Shanghai Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Own and continuously refine the group’s transfer pricing model,

ensuring alignment with operational reality and audit defense readiness across all jurisdictions Maintain contemporaneous transfer pricing documentation that meets OECD and local country requirements Partner with operations and commercial teams to ensure intercompany transactions reflect economic substance Tax Planning & IPO Readiness Identify and implement tax optimisation opportunities across the group structure Build the tax documentation and audit trail required for IPO due diligence and prospectus preparation Ensure historical tax positions (FY2024, FY2025) are defensible and audit-ready Support the CFO in evaluating tax implications of capital raises, new entity formation, and M&A; activity Model effective tax rates and provide forward-looking tax forecasts for board and investor reporting Manage deferred tax complexity across entities, including temporary differences, tax losses carried forward, and valuation allowances Navigate multi-GAAP exposure (IFRS for group reporting, US GAAP for Tampa entity) and ensure consistent tax accounting treatment Risk Management & Controls Build and maintain a tax compliance calendar covering all jurisdictions and tax types Establish internal controls for tax provisioning, accruals, and reconciliations Proactively identify exposures that could impact cash, reputation, or IPO readiness, and ensure mitigation before they escalate Create and maintain a tax risk register, escalating material exposures to the Head of Financial Accounting and CFO Document all tax positions, elections, and planning strategies for audit and governance purposes External Advisor Leadership Lead all external tax advisors (Spanish, US, Chinese) — you set the direction, they support execution Manage advisor scope, deliverables, timelines, and costs — bring in-house what can be done more effectively internally Coordinate with external auditors on tax provisions, deferred tax, and uncertain tax positions Cross-Functional Support Support and advise the HR/People team on Beckham Law eligibility, employment tax, and international assignment tax implications Support Purchasing and Legal on VAT treatment of new supplier and contract structures, including e-commerce and export Partner with the Controller on month-end tax provisioning and balance sheet tax accounts What you will bring to Stark 5-8+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally with a mix of Big 4/advisory and in-house roles Deep expertise in Spanish corporate tax, VAT,

and indirect tax structuring Working knowledge of international tax structuring, transfer pricing, and multi-entity compliance across multiple jurisdictions Familiarity with deferred tax accounting under IFRS, and ideally awareness of US GAAP tax differences Experience preparing or supporting IPO-related tax due diligence is a strong plus Experience building scalable tax processes within ERP environments (e.g., SAP, Odoo) and reducing manual intervention through automation Familiarity with the Beckham Law regime and willingness to act as internal advisor to HR on its application Fluency in English; Spanish is highly valued, other languages are a bonus A proactive, ownership-driven mindset — you don’t wait to be asked, you flag issues before they become problems CPA, Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA), Spanish Asesor Fiscal, or equivalent qualification preferred What good looks like Zero missed filing deadlines across all jurisdictions No material audit adjustments impacting earnings on tax provisions Predictable and optimized effective tax rate aligned with business planning Clear visibility of cash tax versus accounting tax at all times A complete, maintained tax compliance calendar used by the whole finance team Documented transfer pricing policies that withstand regulatory scrutiny Tax risk register reviewed monthly with no surprises at board level Measurable reduction in external advisor spend by bringing routine work in-house Tax section of IPO prospectus prepared on time and without material findings Why work with us? The chance to work on a product people are genuinely passionate about A fast-growing company with real momentum A creative, international team based in Barcelona Competitive salary and benefits package Direct access to riders, race teams, and the product — this is not a remote-from-the-product role Subsidized lunch in our in house restaurant Free access to our in-house gym (including weekends!) 30 days of paid vacation At Stark, we don’t just accept difference—we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products, and our community.
