Your day by day will include working with Data Pipelines, extracting and digging into different Datasets coming from Airports, Airplanes, and Ground Handlers, to understand it and get insights that then we will use to train ML Models so we can make this industry more reliable and easier to operate. We at SITA are the biggest Tech Service provider worldwide for the Air Transport Industry. We have tons of data and now we want to make use of it to make our customers’ lives easier! /p pWe are looking for a Data Engineer to join the Central Data Platform Team and design, develop, and maintain reference data patterns, templates, and frameworks on the centrally managed Databricks platform. You’ll support portfolio teams by enabling governance‑aligned data engineering practices, ensuring data is produced in a consistent, secure, and scalable way without owning team data products or pipelines. /p h3What You Will Do /h3 ul liWork together with the team in design scalable cloud‑based data architectures with a focus on performance,



cost‑efficiency, and security. /li liDevelop reference ingestion patterns and templates for integrating data from enterprise systems, APIs, and external datasets. /li liDevelop and maintain pipelines (e.g. platform services, system tables, reference implementations) and provide guidance on ETL/ELT best practices for portfolio teams. /li liApply data governance, cataloguing, and quality monitoring (compliance with guidelines) to ensure trustworthy and well‑documented data. /li liCollaborate with data architects, scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders across the Air Transport Industry to translate requirements into technical solutions. /li liApply modern technologies (e.g., Databricks, AzureML, LLMs) to enable advanced analytics and AI/ML use cases (use‑case driven). /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 h3ABOUT YOUR SKILLS /h3 ul li3-5 years of technical experience with Big Data systems. /li liFamiliarity with Databricks, Spark and event streaming (e.g. Azure Event Hub, Kafka). /li liProficiency in SQL and Python, with clean coding and OOP practices. /li liCloud deployment experience (Azure preferred). /li liWe will spend eight hours a day together, and we prefer to spend them in a good mood and a smile on our faces.
