ppThe bManager, Strategic Sourcing Mechanical Systems /b position will be based out of Madrid, Spain. This is a key role supporting mechanical sourcing across the portfolio of mechanical products within Nextpower's offering. /p ul liSupport and bdrive execution of sourcing strategy across categories within mechanical systems /b including fasteners, tools and consumables, foundation equipment and consumables, gear boxes, dampers, field robotics and other mechanical systems as a part of Nextpower’s product portfolio. /li liRegional (EU) lead for supplier relationships across categories, collaborating with leadership in the US, India and China to execute specific objectives and activities. /li liIdentify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and establish strategic partnerships to ensure a robust supply chain. /li liEstablish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing performance to ensure the highest quality standards and delivery timelines. /li liContinuously evaluate supplier performance, including cost, quality, engineering support and reliability, and implement corrective actions when necessary. /li liCollaborate with suppliers to drive innovation, cost reduction initiatives, and process improvements. /li liCollaborate with internal stakeholders, such as engineering, operations, and quality assurance, to align sourcing activities with production requirements and quality standards. /li liDrive cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation, supplier selection, and value engineering. /li liDevelop and implement effective procurement processes and procedures,
ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. /li liIdentify and mitigate risks related to the sourcing and procurement of mechanical components, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or supplier financial instability. /li liDevelop and implement contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential disruptions on the organization's operations. /li liMonitor market trends, pricing, and availability of mechanical components, and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly. /li liFoster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability within the team. /li /ul h3Required Qualification Experience: /h3 ul lib8-12 years of experience of strategic sourcing for mechanical parts /b such as tools, fasteners, gear boxes, dampers, robotics, heavy equipment etc. /li liHas strong experience managing a supplier base. /li liExperience collaborating with general team. /li liDeep knowledge about manufacturing process and mechanical assemblies. /li liMust be a skilled negotiator, highly analytical, creative and an effective communicator. /li liHigh degree of autonomy and accountability for results. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualification Experience: /h3 ul liExperience in Solar or renewable energy or construction field. /li libWillingness to travel (30%) to Asia and EU within US. /b /li liLanguages: bFluency in Spanish and English /b (written and spoken) is required; other European languages are a plus. /li /ul h3We are looking for someone who demonstrates: /h3 ul liPassionate customer focus. /li liThoughtful, fast, disciplined execution. /li liTenacious commitment to continuous improvement. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
