We deliver IT services and solutions for the different international Business Units from Nationale Nederlanden Group. /p h3Database Administrator (DBA) – Oracle on AWS RDS /h3 h3Your Impact as Database Administrator (DBA): /h3 h3What are you going to do /h3 pThe Database Administrator will be responsible for the administration, performance, security, and availability of Oracle databases hosted on AWS RDS. The role will combine strong Oracle DBA expertise with cloud, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices. This role is important to support critical business platforms, cloud modernization, infrastructure automation, and secure database operations in a regulated environment. /p h3Key Responsibilities Include /h3 ul liAdminister, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases hosted on AWS RDS, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and data integrity. /li liManage database provisioning, patching, backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures within the AWS environment. /li liConfigure and manage database connectivity and network access controls, including VPCs, subnets, and security groups. /li liProvision and maintain database infrastructure using Terraform, following infrastructure-as-code best practices. /li liMonitor database performance, conduct query and instance tuning, and proactively identify and resolve issues. /li liImplement and enforce database security best practices, including encryption, access management, and audit logging. /li liMaintain accurate documentation of database architecture, configurations, standards, and operational procedures. /li liSupport production incidents and participate in the relevant support model when required. /li liCollaborate with development, security, cloud, and infrastructure teams to support business and technical initiatives.

including administration, configuration, performance tuning, backup, restore, and recovery. /li liHands-on experience managing Oracle databases on AWS RDS. /li liGood knowledge of AWS networking components, including VPCs, subnets, routing, and security groups. /li liPractical experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management. /li liWorking knowledge of Kubernetes from an application-to-database connectivity perspective. /li liStrong understanding of database security principles, including encryption at rest and in transit, identity and access management, least-privilege access, and audit logging. /li liExperience working in regulated environments, preferably financial services or insurance. /li liStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. /li liClear communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience supporting mission-critical platforms in financial services or insurance. /li liExperience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Amazon CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Dynatrace, or similar. /li liFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices. /li liOracle certification, such as Oracle Certified Professional. /li liAWS certification, such as AWS Certified Database or AWS Certified Solutions Architect. /li liExperience with additional AWS-managed database services, such as Amazon Aurora or PostgreSQL on RDS. /li /ul pIn Nationale-Nederlanden we are committed with diversity.
