ppHi! /p h3The Role /h3 pAt Factorial, data sits at the heart of every decision we make — and we're looking for a bData Analyst /b to make it count where it matters most: our people. /p pThis is a hybrid role that combines two profiles — the responsibilities of an bAnalytics Engineer /b and those of a bData Analyst /b. As an bAnalytics Engineer /b, you model and structure data in the bgold layer /b with bDBT /b, turning raw tables into reliable, documented models a whole business area can trust. As a bData Analyst /b, you build advanced analysis on top of them, own the metrics they expose, and deliver the breporting /b the business runs on — carrying out dashboards and ad‑hoc deep dives that turn open questions into decisions, hand in hand with Business. /p pYou’ll focus primarily on our bPeople area /b — our biggest opportunity — bringing a data‑driven approach to how we understand, hire, and grow our teams, and shaping high‑stakes decisions across btalent acquisition, headcount planning, engagement, and performance /b. You’ll also partner with bProduct /b, helping define how we iterate the product and turning data into real impact on bpricing, packaging, and usage /b. /p pFactorial is a fast‑paced scale‑up in constant evolution — some areas are still building their data foundations while others are already driven by the power of data. You won’t inherit a finished playbook; you’ll write it, raising the analytical bar as the company grows. If you’re driven by curiosity, energized by ambiguity, and want ownership of both the data model and the decisions it drives, this one’s for you. /p h3What You’ll Be Doing /h3 ul liOwn the data models: Design, build, and maintain the gold‑layer models (DBT) that become the single source of truth for your business area — with the tests and documentation that keep them trusted and reused across teams. /li liOwn metrics and governance: Define and document your area's KPIs, resolve conflicting definitions across teams, and maintain a single source of truth others are expected to use. /li liTreat dashboards as a product: Build reporting in Power BI with clear ownership, and keep iterating on it based on how it’s actually used. /li liGo beyond dashboards: Run the advanced analysis that answers the “why” — cohort and retention analyses, impact modeling, and scenario / forecasting — and turn findings into concrete product, pricing, or lifecycle recommendations. /li liEnable decision‑making: Partner with Business and Product teams to turn ambiguous questions into the right analysis,
and run the work that determines whether a decision actually moved the needle. /li liFoster business–data collaboration: Embed with your stakeholders, build a shared language around metrics, and strengthen how the business and the Data team work together — so data becomes a habit, not an afterthought. /li liCollaborate cross‑functionally: Work closely with Data Science, Data Engineering, and Analytics Engineers to keep data integrity high, prepare the layer models consume, and translate model outputs into metrics the business understands. /li liMaster data storytelling: Turn analysis into clear narratives that align stakeholders and inspire action — so the work actually changes what people do. /li /ul h3What We’re Looking For /h3 ul liHave 3+ years in Analytics Engineering, BI, or Data Analyst roles — ideally in a fast‑paced, scaling tech environment. /li liWrite fluent, independent SQL — you can model and debug complex queries on your own, without waiting on review. /li liAre comfortable with Python for analysis and lightweight data workflows. /li liKnow your way around DBT and a layered / medallion modeling approach (bronze / silver / gold). /li liHave shipped a BI tool in production, Power BI ideally (or an equivalent like Looker / Tableau). /li liHave solid advanced‑analytics fundamentals: cohort and retention analysis, segmentation, funnel and driver analysis, and experimentation (A/B) backed by a solid statistics background. /li liUse version control (Git / GitHub) as part of your normal workflow. /li liAre business‑minded and communicate with impact — you understand what stakeholders really need (not just what they ask for), reframe the question, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insight that drives decisions. /li liAre autonomous, proactive, and detail‑oriented — you see ambiguity as an opportunity, not a blocker. /li liTreat the metrics and models you build as products, not one‑off deliverables. /li liHave English working proficiency. /li /ul h3Bonus Points if You /h3 ul liUnderstand subscription or product‑based (SaaS) economics and can connect data work to revenue, growth, and retention outcomes. /li liHave owned a metrics framework that became the reference.
/li liHave partnered closely with Data Science to bring models into production and translate their output into business decisions. /li liHave helped build or scale an analytics function — tooling, modeling and documentation standards, processes, and KPI frameworks — leaving it more mature than you found it. /li liHave delivered visible impact in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment, bringing structure to ambiguity and moving decisions forward. /li liHave a quantitative background (degree or equivalent practical depth) you apply to real business problems. /li /ul h3Compensation /h3 pThe salary range for this position is b(42800 - 53500 )€ total compensation + /b bESOP plan /b. We won't consider how many years of experience you have but your knowledge and skills. /p h3About Factorial /h3 pAt Factorial, we’re building the leading AI Business Management Software for companies of all sizes.
