In this role, you will support the Product Underwriting Legal team to develop and refine market-leading AIG wordings, policies, and endorsements across multiple markets. You will collaborate with GLCR colleagues and underwriting, claims, actuary, and reinsurance teams to address regulatory and commercial needs. The position emphasizes drafting excellence, governance, and timely guidance to senior leadership on product development. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that contributes to AIG’s strategic product initiatives on international lines, with a focus beyond North America.

Compensaciones / Ventajas
• Draft and develop new and updated proprietary AIG products, policies, and endorsements across product lines and jurisdictions
• Support Lead Underwriting Counsel in advising the CUO on policy adoption and updates
• Create and refine policies based on broker/competitor forms to address client exposures and promote AIG wordings
• Collaborate with GLCR and other teams on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues related to product development and wordings
• Provide insights on policies used by other market participants
• Ensure underwriting intent is reflected in clear, unambiguous wording




• Identify exposure trends with Claims/Actuarial/Coverage Litigation and address them in standard language
• Remediate existing policies, retiring or updating as needed
• Coordinate wording drafting discussions with business leaders and stakeholders
• Support the creation of a policy/endorsement repository and governance guidelines
• Deliver policy/endorsement training and contribute to AI-enabled tooling discussions for wording management
• Support governance development and authorities for comprehensive product wordings governance

Responsabilidades
• Legal degree and qualification required
• Entitlement to practice preferred
• French and/or Spanish speaking jurisdiction preferred
• Fluent business xqbhyrx French and/or Spanish; fluent English; additional languages advantageous
• Experience advising senior partners on complex (re)insurance wording and related transactions
• Drafting experience from a reinsurer, broker, or law firm
• Ability to prioritize in a high-paced environment
• Excellent communication to distill complex topics for non-lawyers
• Problem-solving with timely, fit-for-purpose solutions
• Detail-oriented with thorough documentation to support processes
