In this role you will lead and shape Scopely’s global data governance program for the Enterprise Data Warehouse, collaborating with Security, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and data teams. You’ll influence engineering to implement governance policies and chair a distributed Data Governance Council. The position focuses on policy definition, risk mitigation, and alignment with business needs, while enabling responsible data use across projects and AI initiatives. This is a strategic, cross-functional role at the Playgami team in Barcelona that drives trust, compliance, and scalable data practices.

• Lead and operate an enterprise-scale data governance program for a global EDW
• Collaborate with Security, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and data teams to translate requirements into actionable policies
• Define and implement governance frameworks (data classification, PII handling, access control, data lifecycle management)
• Work with engineering to ensure governance policies are implemented in data platforms
• Contribute to access governance processes (approvals, reviews, monitoring)
• Maintain documentation, decision logs, and governance guidelines for transparency
• Identify data usage risks and support mitigation with tracking
• Improve processes,
templates, and training to boost adoption across teams
• Support governance needs for new projects/tools/integrations including AI usage
• Participate in governance forums and working groups to ensure alignment
• Contribute to data ownership and accountability across datasets
• Support data classification and sensitivity models implementation
• Help ensure appropriate use of sensitive data based on business needs
• Define and apply data lifecycle policies (retention and archiving)
• Collaborate with stakeholders to balance data access, risk, and business value
Responsabilidades
• 4 to 7 years of experience in data governance, data management, privacy, xqbhyrx or related areas
• Strong understanding of data security and privacy concepts (PII handling, access control, auditability)
• Bachelor in Computer Science or related field
• Experience working with data teams to implement policies in real systems
• Ability to translate requirements into practical solutions with technical teams
• Strong collaboration skills across teams and functions
• Pragmatic mindset focused on real-world solutions
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort with fast-paced environments and evolving needs
• Full on-site presence in the Barcelona office (5 days per week)
