ph3Location /h3 pMadrid, Regional Office, Spain /p h3Purpose of role /h3 pTo provide EHS support, development and implementation of Primark's health and safety agenda across the business /p h3Reports to /h3 pIberia EHS Country Manager /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liCarry out health safety inspections as required by legislation, Primark company policy, identifying potential hazards and recommending appropriate remedial action where required; and review and complete PINS system. /li liConduct EHS inspections and audit workplace standards and activities as appropriate /li liConduct risk assessments and emergency plans. /li liTo undertake investigations into specific incidents or accidents ensuring appropriate records are maintained, appropriate recommendations made and actions closed to reduce likelihood of reoccurrence /li liAttend HS Committee meetings in the stores. /li liEstablish effective relationships and work closely and co‑operatively with the retail team and other stakeholders /li liHave a thorough and detailed working knowledge of relevant current legislation and advice /li liProvide technical advice on all relevant environmental, health and safety issues to the stores /li liSecure the development of a positive health and safety culture at all levels throughout the business. /li liIdentify where poor practice, by individuals or a particular business unit, demands additional training or the provision of information to provide this required support /li liDrive forward, undertake or advise on workplace risk assessments and reviews in accordance with legislation or upon amended Primark policy,
determining appropriate action and priorities /li liTo conduct regular and periodic EHS inspections and audits against defined workplace standards and activities in designated locations to evaluate our performance /li liTo drive a culture of behavioural safety across the country and to lead by example to ensure that safety becomes an integral part of everyday business /li liAdvise on training needs for the business in line with regulatory requirements, business need or poor performance taking into account performance improvement and return on investment /li liSupports the delivery of EHS training across the organisation. /li /ul h3Relationships /h3 ul liCooperation with the other departments and external supervisory and control bodies /li liEstablish effective EHS relationships and work closely and co‑operatively with the retail team – within the region, at group level, and other stakeholders /li liDevelop key relationships with Retail Store Management, Area Managers, Head of Sales, PC, Store Development, FM, Learning Development, Retail teams, and Legal teams. /li liWork closely and support all other central functions as required on minimum EHS Standards; PC, Store Development, FM, Learning Development and Legal teams.
/li /ul h3Education /h3 ul liMaster degree in Health and Safety, specialties: Safety at work, Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics and Psychosocial. /li liDesirable Legal Auditor certification. /li liEnvironmental knowledge and background is desirable. /li /ul h3Essential Knowledge, Skills Experience /h3 ul liTotal availability to travel around Spain. /li liFive years’ experience in health and safety. /li liCommunicative English language skills /li liExperience in deal with unions, conduct risk assessments, emergency plans, HS trainings and participate in legal audits. /li liThorough knowledge of, and ability to advise upon, environmental, health safety matters, risk management and legislation, with substantial demonstrable experience of personal involvement in the management of EHS within a diverse fast paced work environment. /li liResults orientated with a strong focus on the delivery of objectives, including an ability to provide creative and innovative solutions based on a sound understanding of business requirements. /li liProvide effective verbal and written communication and feedback /li liSystematic approach with good attention to detail. /li liInterest in continuous improvement and development of new technologies /li liAn effective communicator with the ability to deliver complex messages in a clear and appropriate manner. /li liRetail or FMCG's experience an advantage /li /ul pCompromiso con igualdad de oportunidades Fecha fin de publicación interna: 14/06/2026 /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
