Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities. /p h3Radiology Technician Duties /h3 ul libPerform Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: /b Conduct X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and other diagnostic imaging procedures following established protocols to ensure high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. /li libPatient Preparation and Care: /b Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort. Provide clear instructions and support to patients throughout the process. /li libEquipment Operation and Maintenance: /b Operate and maintain radiographic imaging equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition. Report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel. /li libImage Quality Assurance: /b Review and evaluate images for quality and clarity, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards. Collaborate with radiologists to determine if additional images are required. /li libSafety and Compliance: /b Adhere to all safety guidelines, including radiation protection measures, and comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. /li /ul h3PACS Administrator Duties /h3 ul libSystem Management: /b Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of the PACS, ensuring seamless integration and functionality of the system across all departments. /li libData Management: /b Manage the storage, retrieval, and archiving of digital images and associated patient data. Ensure data integrity, security, and confidentiality. /li libUser Support and Training: /b Provide technical support and training to radiology staff and other users of the PACS. Address and resolve any system-related issues or user concerns promptly. /li libSoftware and Hardware Maintenance: /b Coordinate with IT and vendors to perform regular updates, upgrades, and maintenance of PACS software and hardware. Ensure the system is up‑to‑date and running efficiently. /li libQuality Control and Reporting: /b Monitor system performance and conduct regular quality control checks.



Generate and analyze reports on system usage, performance metrics, and any issues encountered. /li libRegulatory Compliance: /b Ensure the PACS is compliant with healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to system management and operations. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul libEducation: /b Associate or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology, Health Information Technology, or a related field. /li libCertification: /b ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required. /li libPACS certification (e.g., CIIP) is a plus. /b /li libCertified by the State of Arkansas to practice and administer radiation. /b /li libCurrent BLS Certification. /b /li libExperience: /b Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technician with imaging and ultrasound capabilities. Experience in PACS administration or healthcare IT is highly desirable. /li libTechnical Skills: /b Proficiency in operating radiographic imaging equipment and PACS software. Strong understanding of DICOM standards and radiology workflows, ultrasound experience. /li libCommunication Skills: /b Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and IT personnel. /li libProblem-Solving Abilities: /b Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions. /li libAttention to Detail: /b High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in imaging procedures and data management. /li /ul h3Working Conditions /h3 ul libEnvironment: /b Hospital or clinical setting, working closely with patients, radiologists, and healthcare staff. /li libSchedule: /b Full‑time position with call responsibility, with potential for shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. /li libPhysical Requirements: /b Ability to lift and position patients, operate heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods.
