Based in Madrid, you will work alongside architects, engineers, interior designers, and urban planners on a diverse portfolio of international projects. This role is suited to an experienced sustainability professional with a strong sustainability and design background, and the ability to guide projects from concept through delivery. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliLead the development of sustainability and decarbonisation strategies for buildings and masterplans. /liliDeliver environmental and building performance analysis to inform design decisions from early concept stages onwards. /liliDevelop and apply data-driven and parametric design workflows to support sustainable outcomes. /liliPrepare and review technical reports, sustainability strategies, and client presentations. /liliCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage directly with clients and stakeholders. /liliManage sustainability deliverables, ensuring high-quality project delivery. /liliMentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the Sustainable Design team. /liliSupport innovation, research, and business development activities. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3h3Education /h3ulliDegree in Architecture,
Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Sustainability, or a related discipline. /liliA Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Design, or Building Physics is desirable /li /ulh3Experience /h3ulliProven experience in sustainable design, environmental consultancy, building performance analysis, or a related field, typically b5+ years. /b /liliProven experience developing sustainability and decarbonisation strategies for buildings and masterplans. /liliProven experience delivering environmental analysis and building performance assessments throughout the design process. /liliExperience supporting project delivery within multidisciplinary design teams. /li /ulh3Technical Knowledge /h3ulliStrong understanding of low-carbon design, building physics, and environmental performance assessment. /liliExperience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), embodied carbon analysis, and whole-life carbon assessments using tools such as One Click LCA or similar. /liliExperience with environmental simulation tools such as IES VE, EnergyPlus, Radiance, Ladybug Tools, Honeybee, or equivalent. /liliExperience with parametric design and early-stage design tools, particularly Grasshopper, is highly desirable. Experience with Python or other scripting languages is an advantage. /liliProficiency in Rhino, Revit, and Microsoft Office applications. /liliKnowledge of sustainability certification schemes such as LEED, BREEAM, WELL, or Passivhaus. /liliStrong analytical, communication, and presentation skills. /liliAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work. /liliAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams. /liliProactive mindset with a commitment to innovation and continuous learning. /li /ulh3Languages /h3ulliProfessional proficiency in English and Spanish. /liliAdditional languages will be considered an asset. /li /ulpAt AECOM,
