As a Backend Engineer at Embat, you will help shape a fast-growing fintech SaaS platform used by medium and large enterprises. You’ll collaborate across product, design, and engineering to deliver robust APIs, scalable services, and secure data handling. The role combines hands-on development with architecture, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality, maintainable software in a non-bureaucratic, agile environment. You’ll contribute to a mission-driven culture as Embat expands globally and improves financial decision making for customers.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs and web applications for scalability, robustness, and security
• Test new features and enhancements and troubleshoot to ensure performance
• Document code and maintain clear alignment across the team
• Implement security and data protection settings to safeguard user data
• Contribute to CI/CD, monitoring, and testing practices with the team

• Grow skills across areas of the tech stack and learn from others

Responsabilidades
• 6+ years of experience as Backend or FullStack engineer using JavaScript/TypeScript with Node.JS
• Experience scaling distributed systems with large data volumes
• Strong knowledge of software architecture design patterns and coding best practices
• Ability to take ownership and create impact; advocate for quality culture
• Proficiency xqbhyrx in testing and ensuring production readiness
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and prioritization skills
• Team player with collaborative mindset; willing to learn and work across domains
• English proficiency (spoken and written) and Spanish fluency
• Location preference: Madrid or anywhere in Spain
