ph3Job Description /h3 pAs part of the development of our activities in the canton of Vaud, we are looking for a CAD Component Engineer (M/F). Reporting to a technical manager, your main responsibilities will include: /p h3CAD Engineering /h3 ul liManage PCB design environments, CAD tools, libraries, and license infrastructure. /li liGenerate complete manufacturing documentation packages (Gerbers, ODB++, fabrication drawings, assembly files). /li liCreate and maintain PCB components, symbols, footprints, and part numbers. /li liPerform PCB layout modifications using Mentor Graphics and/or Cadence tools. /li liSupport PCB integrity and design verification activities. /li liCollaborate closely with hardware engineers to understand placement, routing constraints, and design intent. /li liEnsure CAD tools and libraries remain compliant, qualified, and available for engineering teams. /li /ul h3PCB Subcontractor Management /h3 ul liAct as the main interface with external PCB layout subcontractors. /li liDefine and communicate design rules and routing constraints. /li liEnsure compliance with quality standards and project requirements. /li liCoordinate routing activities with hardware development teams. /li /ul h3Component Engineering /h3 ul liManage component lifecycle and obsolescence monitoring using dedicated tools such as SiliconExpert. /li liGenerate lifecycle, risk, and obsolescence reports for engineering teams.



/li liIdentify and propose alternative components in case of obsolescence or supply chain risks. /li liPerform Form-Fit-Function (FFF) analyses and support qualification activities. /li liSupport engineering teams in selecting sustainable and long-term component solutions. /li /ul h3Profile /h3 pYou hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and have significant experience in electronic hardware development environments. /p h3Requirements /h3 ul liMinimum 5 years of industrial experience. /li liStrong experience with Mentor Graphics and/or Cadence environments. /li liExperience managing PCB manufacturing documentation. /li liGood understanding of electronic hardware development processes. /li liExperience with component lifecycle and obsolescence management. /li liFamiliarity with SiliconExpert or similar tools. /li liStrong communication and coordination skills. /li liAbility to work in multidisciplinary and international teams. /li /ul h3Languages /h3 ul liFluent English is mandatory. /li /ul h3Why Join Us /h3 ul liContinuous support for skill development. /li liAn ecosystem that encourages stepping out of your comfort zone. /li liThe opportunity to become a shareholder. /li liEngagement in social and community projects. /li liA dedicated parental support policy. /li /ul pFortil is committed to equal opportunities.
