ph3About Stark /h3 pStark builds the world’s most powerful electric motorcycles. From the VARG MX to the road-legal VARG EX SM, our bikes have won world championships and are engineered to outperform anything with a combustion engine. Our mission is to lead the way toward a sustainable motorcycle industry by reducing plastic and CO2 pollution. /p h3Role /h3 pThe Engineering Manager – Web owns the delivery and technical health of both the Frontend and Backend web teams. /li liContinuously evaluate emerging AI tools and integrate them into the development workflow where they add real value. /li /ul h3Cross‑Functional Problem Solving /h3 ul liAct as the go‑to technical resource for any web‑related need that arises across the company. /li liBuild internal tools, dashboards, and automations when they solve real problems. /li liCollaborate closely with the IT Director to align web team priorities with company‑wide technology strategy. /li /ul h3Authority Powers /h3 ul liAuthority to define technical standards, tooling, and workflows for both web teams. /li liDecision‑making power over sprint priorities and resource allocation within the web engineering scope. /li liDirect access to company leadership for fast escalation and alignment on business‑critical issues. /li liFreedom to evaluate and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and services that improve delivery or platform performance. /li liAuthority to propose and drive process improvements across the web development lifecycle. /li /ul h3What You Will Bring to Stark /h3 h3Must Have /h3 ul li5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years managing engineering teams. /li liDeep proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript across both frontend (React, Next.js, or equivalent) and backend (Node.js, Express, or equivalent). /li liProven experience building and scaling e‑commerce platforms with high transaction volumes. /li liSolid Python knowledge for scripting, automation, data processing, or backend services. /li liWorking DevOps skills: CI/CD pipelines, AWS services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, RDS), containerization, monitoring. /li liExperience with payment gateway integrations and order management workflows. /li liTrack record of managing both product and project delivery—not just technical execution. /li liHands‑on experience with AI‑assisted development tools (Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) and a clear vision for integrating AI into engineering workflows. /li liStrong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
