We’re headquartered in Palma, Mallorca and employ around 3,500 people worldwide. /p h3JOB DESCRIPTION /h3 h3Purpose /h3 pThe role, with an important Fintech component, forms a key part of the Legal team in managing and advising on risk and legal liability for the group, as a Travel Tech Company, to ensure we achieve the strong growth plans of the group. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liTo assist Fintech/Insurtech Team with the set-up and implementation of Fintech/Insurtech initiatives according to the roadmap, ensuring effective development of strategic projects. /li liTo advise Fintech/Insurtech Team on their day-to-day business decisions, reviewing contracts from a commercial perspective as well as considering the regulatory framework worldwide, providing preventive counselling on the legal requirements, identifying,



monitoring and advising upon legal risks within the area. /li liLegal assistance to the Fintech/Insurtech Team on the risks of new initiatives from a commercial and regulatory perspective. Monitoring of new regulations and impact on HBX activities. /li liAdvise Fintech/Insurtech Team on day-to-day business decisions, providing preventive counselling and reviewing contracts, especially focusing on regulatory requirements. /li liCoordinate with other functions (i.e. Tax, Compliance, HR, IT Security…) to give aligned and complete advice to Fintech/Insurtech Group. /li liTo review and reshape the current ways of working aligning with the fast-paced evolving environment of HBX, by improving, simplifying, and designing guidelines, and scalable processes/protocols jointly with relevant stakeholders. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liStrong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and desirable also Spanish /li liStrong organizational and analytical skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadline pressures. /li liGood negotiation skills: Ability to negotiate and handle difficult situations with internal stakeholders and/or externals /li liStrong attention to detail /li liAbility to cross connect issues with different functions. /li liFlexibility, agility and adaptability to change.



/li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul liMinimum 6 years’ experience in similar or related roles /li liPrevious experience working as an inhouse counsel in a multinational company and dealing with Fintech matters.
