ph3About the job /h3pBased at bMandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid /b, within the bFood Beverage Department /b, the bSommelier /b is responsible for delivering an exceptional wine and beverage service, advising guests, managing the wine cellar and ensuring full compliance with Mandarin Oriental quality and service standards.br/The role reports to the bAssistant Head Sommelier /b and the bHead Sommelier /b. /ph3As a Sommelier, your main responsibilities will include: /h3ulliProviding professional and personalised wine and beverage service. /liliAdvising guests on wine and beverage selection, offering appropriate food pairings. /liliEnsuring flawless service execution at assigned tables or sections. /liliContributing to the creation, update and promotion of the wine and beverage list. /liliSupporting wine cellar operations: receiving deliveries, stock control, storage and preservation. /liliAssisting with ordering, inventory management and sales forecasting of wines and beverages. /liliMaintaining cleanliness and proper use of cellar equipment and tools. /liliDemonstrating full knowledge of menus, allergens and dietary requirements. /liliPreparing and serving beverages, including wines, cocktails and hot drinks, when required. /liliSupporting special events and VIP services. /liliCollaborating closely with service, kitchen and other hotel departments. /liliManaging billing and payments while ensuring a warm farewell to guests. /liliActively promoting upselling of wines, beverages and hotel services. /li /ulh3As a Sommelier, we expect from you:
