It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, was a founding and hosting member of the former European HPC infrastructure PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe), and is now hosting entity for EuroHPC JU, the Joint Undertaking that leads large-scale investments and HPC provision in Europe. The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies in order to facilitate scientific progress. She/he/they will collaborate in implementing the Health Safety plan and developing a safety culture across the centre with special emphasis on the Psychosocial Risk strategy, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment by managing workplace conflicts and designing organizational HS protocols. /p pShe/he/they will collaborate on the current HS procedures and will participate in elaborating new actions. /p h3Key Duties /h3 ul liHealth Safety: /li liHS coordination with external companies that work at BSC facilities and also other institutions where BSC employees are working. /li liManaging health surveillance, medical check-ups, and health promotion actions. /li liCarrying out risk assessments. /li liDevelopment of the emergency plan. /li liTraining Onboarding: Organize HS training sessions (welcome basics and specifics) and health promotion initiatives. /li liCollaborate in new policies and procedures related to HS. /li liCollaborate in developing HS documentation: planning, reports, KPI's, posters, accident reports, etc.



/li liFoster the development of briefing and communication strategies to ensure that the Health and Safety plan and important information are understood and operated by all employees, subcontractors, visitors and collaborators. /li liDesign and implement Health and Safety and well-being initiatives to facilitate consistent standards and spread best practices. /li liPsychosocial Risk Assessment: Evaluate and monitor organizational risk factors such as work-related stress, burnout, and workload. /li liProtocol Design: Design and implement formal protocols for conflict resolution, mental health support, and the prevention of workplace harassment, fostering a culture of mutual respect. /li liOther: /li liCollaborate in the management of hotdesking and flexible seating strategies, balancing space efficiency with a high-quality employee experience and ergonomic standards. /li liKPI Management: Collaborate with HS the Manager to develop and maintain measurement systems and indicators to track HS performance and drive continuous improvement. /li /ul pThis does not fully define the role but covers the main aspects and drivers for success. /p h3Requirements /h3 ul liEducation ul liUniversity degree related to Health Safety (Labour Relations, Psychology or other). /li liMaster's degree in Occupational Health and Safety. /li /ul /li liEssential Knowledge and Professional Experience ul liExcellent verbal and written communication (Spanish and English). /li liSolid Catalan skills. /li li3 - 5 years of experience in Health and Safety departments. /li liStrong skills in Microsoft office. /li /ul /li liAdditional Knowledge and Professional Experience ul liSpecific training or studies in psychosocial risks will be valued. /li liPrevious experience in other research centers, public administration or institutions. /li /ul /li liCompetences ul liProactive Cooperation (Desire to learn and improve). /li liGood communication skills /li liAbility to manage sensitive workplace disputes and harassment cases with neutrality and discretion. /li liTeamwork abilities /li liPlanning and organizing (Structured mindset) /li liInitiative to propose improvements /li liService Attitude /li liFlexibility /li /ul /li /ul h3Conditions /h3 ul liThe position will be located at BSC within the Management Department /li liWe offer a full-time contract (35h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, versátil working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures /li liDuration:



Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration /li liHolidays: 22 days of holidays + 6 personal days + 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement /li liSalary: we offer a competitive salary commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate and according to the cost of living in Barcelona /li liStarting date: ASAP /li /ul h3Development of the recruitment process /h3 pThe selection will be carried out through a competitive examination system ("Concurso-Oposición"). The recruitment process consists of two phases: /p ul liCurriculum Analysis: Evaluation of previous experience and/or scientific history, degree, training, and other professional information relevant to the position. - 40 points /li liInterview phase: The highest-rated candidates at the curriculum level will be invited to the interview phase, conducted by the corresponding department and Human Resources. In this phase, technical competencies, knowledge, skills, and professional experience related to the position, as well as the required personal competencies, will be evaluated. - 60 points. A minimum of 30 points out of 60 must be obtained to be eligible for the position. /li /ul pThe recruitment panel will be composed of at least three people, ensuring at least 25% representation of women. /p pIn accordance with OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for each vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will begin the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. At a minimum, a personality questionnaire as well as a technical exercise will be conducted during the process. /p pThe panel will make a final decision, and all individuals who participated in the interview phase will receive feedback with details on the acceptance or rejection of their profile. /p h3Deadline /h3 pThe vacancy will remain open until a suitable candidate has been hired.
