We operate across 1000+ e-retailers in 60+ countries, serving industry giants such as Heineken, Lego, Danone, Nestlé, and JDE. /p pAs a leader in data intelligence, we specialize in gathering, analyzing, and applying proprietary artificial intelligence to deliver relevant data and monitoring tools, helping our clients maximize their e-commerce performance. /p h3The role /h3 pAs a bData Platform Engineer /b at Shalion, you will own the foundations the rest of the data organization depends on every day: our bSnowflake /b platform, our bAWS /b lakehouse built on bIceberg /b tables, our bAirflow /b orchestration layer, and the bTerraform /b code that provisions all of it. /p h3Your Responsibilities /h3 ul liOwn and evolve our Snowflake platform: warehouses, databases, storage integrations, stages, external tables, shares and network policies. /li liDesign and maintain our access model: role hierarchies, grants and least-privilege permissions for people, service users and external partners. /li liManage the platform as code with Terraform, reviewed in pull requests and deployed through GitHub Actions. /li liOperate our AWS lakehouse: ingestion of parquet files and Iceberg tables from S3, plus the IAM plumbing that connects AWS and Snowflake safely. /li liOrchestrate and harden pipelines in Apache Airflow,



and drive reliability and cost efficiency with Synq and SELECT.dev. /li liApply security and governance best practices: authentication, secret management, naming conventions and clear data ownership. /li /ul h3Your profile should include the following /h3 ul li3+ years of experience in data platform, data engineering, or platform/infrastructure roles in production. /li liHands-on Snowflake or similar experience as a platform, not only as a SQL engine: you know what storage integrations, stages, shares, warehouses and the RBAC model are and when to use each. /li liSolid experience with Terraform or equivalent IaC. /li liExperience with Apache Airflow or a comparable orchestrator, including operating it and not only writing DAGs. /li liExperience with AWS (S3, IAM) and working knowledge of what Iceberg tables are and how they fit into a lakehouse. /li liDaily usage of GitHub for version control and CI/CD, and a security-first mindset. /li liStrong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders. /li liLanguages: Fluent in Spanish and English B1 or higher. /li /ul h3Nice-to-Have Skills /h3 ul liHands-on experience with Iceberg tables on AWS (Glue Catalog, Lake Formation, S3 Tables, Athena or Snowflake Iceberg). /li liExperience with data observability or Snowflake cost tooling such as Synq, Monte Carlo or SELECT.dev. /li liExperience with dbt, Airbyte,
