ph3Job Summary /h3 pThe Lead Process Engineer is responsible for delivery of the engineering Process and Mechanical design outputs for projects and, where requested, bid proposals. He/she will be responsible for the technical scope of the project/proposal (or, in some cases, a sub‑area of the scope). /p h3Principal Duties And Responsibilities /h3 pFor the scope area for which they are responsible, the Lead Project Engineer must: /p ul liProvide leadership to engineers working on that area. /li liFunction as the interface point for customers and also for the SPX internal organization. /li liPropose / update the execution strategy within the project life to get the most relevant efficient team. /li liEnsure adherence with relevant SPX Flow procedures and practices (e.g. IDEFs). /li liManage the engineering process to ensure outputs meet schedule, budgetary and quality requirements. /li liEnsure that the scope delivered from engineering is aligned with contract or proposal requirements (KPIs). /li /ul h3Lead Engineer /h3 ul liSafety Environment ul liResponsible for ensuring that plant designs are safe. /li liResponsible for ensuring that environmental impacts of designs have been considered appropriately. /li li... /li /ul /li liManagement of Engineering Design Process ul liOwning the engineering execution model throughout the project lifecycle, including adapting approach as required to suit changing requirements. /li liEstablishing and leading engineering team meetings/discussions as required to achieving the project or proposal’s engineering design deliverables. /li /ul /li liDesign Ownership ul liEnsuring that the design is executed in line with: /li liApplicable legislation and regulation /li liCustomer contractual requirements (or, in case of proposal, RFQ/URS requirements) /li liTo deliver the acceptance criteria prepare the acceptance criteria log sheet. /li liSPX references, standards, and best practices, where applicable /li /ul /li liCommunication ul liEnsuring appropriate engineering attendance at customer meetings (as agreed with Project Manager or Bid Process Owner). /li liLeading communication with other SPX Flow stakeholders (e.g. PM, Project Controls, IC, AM, Engineering resource managers, EHS Quality). Ensuring that critical information, such as schedule delays, costs to complete… are communicated in a timely fashion. /li /ul /li /ul h3Project or Proposal Engineering /h3 pIn keeping with general “lead engineer” duties, depending on scope and scale of the project or proposal, the Lead Project Engineer may be required to undertake engineering tasks associated with their core skill base (e.g. process design, PLC coding, etc). /p h3Engineering Community Member /h3 ul liGeneral Technical Support ul liFunction as ‘subject matter expert’ in areas where they have appropriate experience and partake in knowledge sharing as required. /li liMentoring of recently recruited, or inexperienced, staff. /li /ul /li liContinuous Improvement ul liProviding input into continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. tools development, standardisation). /li liDocumenting and communicating ‘lessons learned.’ /li /ul /li /ul h3Knowledge, Skills Abilities /h3 ul liFluent English – both spoken and written. /li liExcellent communication skills. /li liAbility to work within a Integral team, whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. /li liAbility to work on multiple tasks, within a matrix environment. /li liAbility and willingness to work and build relationships with colleagues across multiple function and geographically diverse sites. /li liGood analytical and problem‑solving skills. /li liGood initiative and ability to work independently. /li liThe ability to meet high performance standards in a team whilst maintaining ethics and integrity. /li /ul h3Education And Experience /h3 ul liDegree level qualification in appropriate engineering discipline (e.g. Process or Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical). /li liExperience in Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical and other hygienic industries. /li liExperience of working within, and leading, a technically oriented team. /li liFull driving license is a strong advantage. /li liProficient level of competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). /li liExperience of scheduling tools (e.g. Microsoft Project) beneficial. /li liSAP experiences beneficial. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
