Hastings School, founded in 1971, serves students aged 2-18, from a diverse community and is nestled in the heart of Madrid, Spain. About the Role





As a Secondary ESL Teacher, you will deliver high‑quality English language learning supporting students across a wide range of abilities. You will plan engaging lessons using a variety of effective teaching methods that stimulate curiosity and meet the needs of all students. You will use assessment data to guide your practice, monitor progress, and provide meaningful feedback that supports students to achieve their academic goals. You will contribute to reports, maintain discipline in line with school procedures, and play an active role in wider responsibilities such as form tutoring, extracurricular activities, and staff development. You will also uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and student wellbeing.

This is a permanent, full-time role, with a start date of 31/08/2026.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a committed, innovative educator who genuinely enjoys working with young people. You bring strong organisational skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for helping students achieve their best. You understand effective teaching, learning and assessment, and you manage change sensitively. You hold a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or international equivalent), have a strong commitment to safeguarding, and remain enthusiastic about inspiring learners every day.
