You take full ownership of the financial performance of projects, ensuring that decisions are supported by robust analysis and clear financial insights. /p pIn this role, you translate financial data into meaningful insights on project progress, costs, cash flow, profitability, forecasts, and risks, enabling well-informed and data-driven decision-making. You continuously maintain oversight and ensure that projects operate in line with the Deerns Integrated Risk Management Framework, safeguarding both compliance and performance. /p pYou operate with a high degree of independence across your projects, proactively identifying risks and deviations at an early stage.



Rather than simply reporting, you act as a true challenger, critically assessing assumptions, questioning plans and forecasts, and constructively influencing decisions based on data and insights. Through this, you help drive better project outcomes, improve financial predictability, and strengthen overall project control, while connecting stakeholders, bringing clarity to complex situations, and ensuring that financial considerations are fully integrated into day-to-day project management. /p pIn this role, you also bring a solid understanding of financial control and local compliance topics. While your primary focus is on project performance, you are able to connect project financials to broader accounting, tax, and reporting requirements. Where relevant, you contribute to financial closing, audit preparation, and compliance activities, strengthening the link between Project Control and Finance. /p h3bKey Responsibilities /b /h3 ul liAct as financial lead during tender and execution phases. /li liChallenge planning, forecasts, and cash flow assumptions. /li liMonitor and optimize budget, profitability, and working capital. /li liTranslate corporate risk policies into project risk profiles. /li liIdentify, assess, and quantify financial risks, including foreign exchange and relevant tax considerations. /li liManage contractual obligations, variation orders, and claims. /li liPrepare budgets, forecasts, and monthly reports with clear insights. /li liCoordinate internal and external project audits and ensure readiness of project financials. /li liEnsure compliance with the Integrated Risk Management Framework and applicable financial regulations. /li liSupport alignment between project financials and financial reporting, including closing and audit processes. /li liCollaborate with Finance to ensure consistency with accounting standards (e.g. Spanish GAAP – PGC). /li liDrive process improvements and digitalization initiatives. /li /ul h3bYour Profile /b /h3 ul liBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a similar field.
