We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future. /p pFounded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. /p h3Your day-to-day responsibilities /h3 ul lipDesign and implement full spacecraft-level thermal models for current and next-generation spacecraft /p /li lipSpecify and support qualification testing at subsystem and system level /p /li lipOwn thermal hardware end-to-end: propose new thermal design concepts to improve performance, identify new suppliers, and test and validate component designs /p /li lipPerform thermal analysis of passive and active thermal control components, electrical assemblies, subsystems, and systems /p /li lipSupport assembly, integration, and test (AIT) activities,



including maintenance of thermal control components /p /li lipSupport operations teams in resolving thermal issues during Launch and Early Orbit Operations (LEOP) and beyond /p /li lipEnsure smooth, on-time product delivery from concept through qualification /p /li lipContribute to continuous improvement of our existing products /p /li lipPartner closely with all hardware engineering domains, AIT engineering, and QA to ensure products meet specification /p /li lipWork with system and subsystem engineers to define requirements for new products /p /li lipCollaborate with internal and external engineering and AIT teams during integration and build to confirm thermal solutions meet requirements and targets /p /li /ul h3What we’re looking for /h3 pbMust haves: /b /p ul lip6+ years of experience in thermal simulation as a Thermal Engineer in the space industry /p /li lipExperience with TVAC testing and model correlation /p /li lipProactive, self-directed working style /p /li lipStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills /p /li lipBased in Espoo (most of the team works from Finland); up to 30% remote work is acceptable for this role /p /li lipExperience working in multi-disciplinary environments (electrical, AIT, mechanical, propulsion, RF) /p /li lipExperience with thermal control of satellites at system and subsystem level, or comparable complex aerospace systems /p /li lipComfortable working cross-functionally with systems, electrical, and manufacturing teams /p /li lipStrong teamwork, analytical, documentation, and communication skills /p /li /ul pbNice to haves: /b /p ul lipHands-on experience with spacecraft thermal hardware: surface treatments, MLI, passive and active thermal control components, heat pipes /p /li lipExperience with Systema-Thermica, ESATAN, and/or Thermal Desktop /p /li lipMSc in Aerospace Engineering /p /li lipKnowledge of SAR satellite technology, lifecycles, and the space environment /p /li lipExperience with Python /p /li lipFamiliarity with industry standards such as ECSS and NASA standards /p /li lipSolid understanding of spacecraft configurations, orbits,
