Our advanced production and RD capabilities provide a process of truly general and fully integrated manufacturing for the Hard and Super Hard Materials industry. /p pThe New Product Development (NPD) Engineer will be part of the Barcelona RD team responsible for designing, planning, and manufacturing new and complex products in our tungsten carbide-based lines. They will work cross-functionally with operations, sales and product management to develop new product solutions in a cost-efficient and timely manner. They will also support the operation of new equipment as part of the NPD Center of Excellence. /p h3Main responsibilities for this position will include: /h3 ul liEvaluation quotation of new parts from customer supplied drawings 3D models. /li liDesign of pressing tools for new / complex carbide inserts and other NPD prototypes. /li liManufacture of prototype parts for testing and qualification at the customer. /li liDelivery of lead-time and quality expectations. /li liOperation and optimization of the following RD equipment: /li ul liMulti-axial press; large Isostatic press, 5-axis milling center Additive manufacturing machines.



/li /ul liIndustrialization of the NPD items with operations team in BCN, and / or other Hyperion manufacturing units. /li liSupport RD grade development activities. /li /ul h3Ideal Employee Profile: /h3 ul liBachelor's degree OR advanced diploma in mechanical / manufacturing engineering (or equivalent) /li liStrong knowledge of carbide manufacturing processes with 5+ years of production experience operating presses, CNC mills, grinding and EDM equipment. /li liStrong proficiency with CAD design, preferably with Siemens NX and Team Center integration. /li liSkilled in interpreting engineering drawings using GDT. /li liExperience with the Design and Manufacturing of pressing tools. /li liStrong interpersonal communication skills, preferably with good level of oral and written English. /li /ul pWhere others see many, we see you – personally.
