The company is based in Barcelona and aims to revolutionize remote sensing for environmental monitoring and resource management. /ph3What you will do: /h3pAistech Space is looking for a Satellite Systems Engineer to be part of the Space Infrastructure Team. The ideal candidate will bring systems engineering background and proven hands-on expertise from Phase 0 through Phase E.br/This new position offers the opportunity to coordinate the interfacing between our ENABLER payloads with the new satellite platforms, as well as preparing the mission for daily operations in conjunction with the Ground and User infrastructure teams.br/In this role, you are expected to deal with the different Aistech departments, suppliers, clients, RD proposals, bureaucratic paperwork, launch plans and a long list of activities to push the company forward.br/The main responsibility for this job position is leading technically a heterogeneous team of engineers/scientists/sw developers to deliver the next ENABLER payloads into orbit and ensure the best geometric and radiometric performance of the ENABLER payloads producing high-quality imaging products. /ph3Key responsibilities: /h3ulliDefine mission CONOPS, system architectures, including computing system and subsystem budgets (power, data, link, pointing, etc.). /liliCapture, trace, and flow down mission-level requirements to system and subsystem specifications. /liliPerform system engineering activities across all project phases, from preliminary design through to commissioning and operations. /liliPerform system-level analysis,



technical trade-offs (cost, risk, schedule, performance), and manage the mission technical risk matrix. /liliPreparation of project documentation and presentation materials for all phases of the mission. /liliPlan and support Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) activities, including environmental testing, verification, and system validation. /liliSupport FMECA activities, and contribute to FDIR strategies. /liliAct as the primary technical interface for external stakeholders, supporting bid/tender activities, technical negotiations, and progress meetings. /liliPrepare, review, and maintain satellite mission models. /liliResearch of COTS technologies and solutions from the space industry. /liliDefine and maintain the mission technical schedule. /liliPropose new solutions to be applied into the company in order to improve processes and technologies at a business level /li /ulh3Who you are: /h3h3Must: /h3ulliBSc/MSc in Aerospace, Telecommunications or relevant degree. /liliAt least 2 years of experience in satellite systems engineering. /liliProven experience in a full cycle of a satellite mission, from design phases until operations. /liliStrong knowledge of satellite subsystems: power, comms, AOCS, propulsion, EO payloads, etc. /liliExperience leading a team technically to deliver a payload into orbit. /liliExperience in systems engineering activities, covering requirements analysis, architecture design,



AIT and VV processes. /liliExperience in environmental testing of space hardware (vibration, acoustic, shock, thermal vacuum, EMC). /liliKnowledge in orbital dynamics, RF analysis, system budgets, and end-to-end satellite and ground operations. /liliWork ethic: Independent, proactive and an active learner. /liliPersonality: Team player, extrovert and respectful with your colleagues /liliFluent in English. /li /ulh3Nice to have: /h3ulliExperience in any related projects with Thermal Payloads (MWIR, LWIR, etc). /liliExperience in STK, GMAT, MATLAB/SIMULINK or similar simulation SW packages. /liliGood knowledge of FMECA and FDIR design /liliKnowledge of thermal design and FEM analysis of a payload or satellite system. /liliStrong knowledge developing code in Python. /li /ulh3Where you will be: /h3pYou will be working on-site in the headquarters offices of Sant Cugat in Barcelona.
