To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced Senior System Engineer with a strong background in power electronics, power systems and system simulations. If you want to work at the forefront of energy technology in a motivated, global engineering environment, this role is for you. /ppAt our competence center “Power Converter Solutions”, we have a leading position in the development, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of high‑power electronic converters mainly for STATCOM and rail power supply systems. We also provide solutions for hydro pump stations and grid interties. With the help of our highly efficient converters, we contribute to the integration of renewable energies into the electrical grid of tomorrow, while also increasing the overall system efficiency. /ph3How You’ll Make An Impact /h3ulliDesign power electronic converter systems including Static Frequency Converters (SFC), Static Compensators (STATCOMs), etc., from sales and tendering phase to project execution, including occasional customer and site visits /liliOwn the system engineering scope throughout project execution, in close collaboration with Sales, other Engineering departments, Project Management, and Service /liliPerform system design tasks such as simulations (e.g., harmonics, transients), performance calculations, component specifications for sub‑suppliers, control and protection definitions, and documentation of design activities /liliEnsure compliance with applicable standards, customer specifications and grid codes /liliIdentify risks and opportunities,



proposing effective mitigation measures /liliWork closely with RD teams on system design and modeling of converter systems /liliDefine and evaluate on‑site performance measurements /liliContribute to the continuous development of engineering processes by sharing knowledge, participating in conferences and committees /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliMaster’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, with a focus on Power Systems and Power Electronics, combined with solid knowledge in power electronics and/or power systems with relevant experience in the industry /liliExperience in hydropower or railway sector is a strong plus /liliExperience in Matlab/Simulink is a plus /liliRelevant experience in power electronics and power system simulations /liliEagerness to take responsibility for deliverables, both internally and externally towards customers and sub‑suppliers /liliExcellent communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment /liliCuriosity and drive for continuous development in both short and long term /liliFluent in English; German or additional languages are an advantage /li /ulpWillingness to travel globally. /ph3Benefits /h3pA holistic range of competitive benefit program to support your financial, physical and mental wellbeing and personal development.
