/li liDesign and conduct advanced experiments and feasibility studies to guide technical strategy. /li liDevelop scalable, reproducible, and maintainable machine learning solutions and research frameworks. /li liCollaborate with Applied AI and Engineering teams to enable adoption of research outcomes. /li liMentor and support other scientists and contribute to the technical growth of the team. /li liLead or contribute to scientific publications, patents, and conference submissions. /li liCommunicate technical vision, research findings, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders across technical and business functions. /li liPromote engineering excellence, scientific rigor, and best practices across research initiatives. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster's, or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline. /li li7+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or AI research. /li liDemonstrated expertise in training transformer-based models for Information Retrieval, Recommendation Systems, Product Matching, NLP, or related domains. /li liExperience training custom SLMs and /or small reasoning models. /li liAdvanced experience with Python, PyTorch, Hugging Face, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and Git. /li liStrong experience with Transformer architectures, embeddings, and representation learning. /li liExperience with vector databases (e.g., FAISS, ChromaDB, Pinecone) and retrieval-based systems. /li liAbility to understand, evaluate, and extend ideas from scientific literature. /li liStrong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills. /li liProven ability to independently drive research initiatives from concept through adoption. /li /ul h3Good to Have /h3 ul liPhD in a relevant field. /li liPublications in leading conferences (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, SIGIR, KDD, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, RecSys). /li liExperience mentoring researchers or leading technical initiatives. /li liExperience with RAG architectures, LLMs, and agent-based frameworks. /li liExperience with Knowledge Graphs. /li liExperience in retail, consumer intelligence, ecommerce, or FMCG domains. /li liExperience with Databricks, SQL, Elasticsearch. /li /ul h3Additional Information /h3 pSalary: 55.300– €70.000 gross per year. This role might also be eligible for a performance-based bonus. Placement within the range will depend on objective criteria including experience, skills, and internal equity considerations.
