ppYou will work closely with the Analog and Mixed-Signal (AMS) and Digital IC design teams to contribute to system architecture, partition analog and digital implementations, model channels, and support IC design, verification, and characterization. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liChannel Modeling: Model optoelectronic components (e.g., laser drivers, Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIA)), photonics (e.g., VCSEL, PIN photodiodes), and optical transmission effects (e.g., chromatic dispersion (CD), effective modal bandwidth (EMB), modal noise (MN), and mode partition noise (MPN)), understanding their impact on signal distortion, both linear and non-linear, noise, and jitter. /li liAlgorithm Development: Invent, simulate, and validate energy‑efficient DSP algorithms in both floating‑point and fixed‑point precision. These algorithms will be used for adaptive AM‑S blocks calibration, adaptive channel equalization, timing recovery, symbol synchronization, FEC encoding/decoding, and signal quality assessment for both electrical and optical physical layers. /li liHardware Testing Optimization: Measure and optimize algorithms on presente hardware, correlating models and performance with prior simulations. Refine models and update simulation environments to ensure alignment with experimental data. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liAt least 10 years of industry experience in the related field.
/li liA master's or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, physics, or mathematics is highly recommended, although not strictly required. /li liStrong background in Information Theory, DSP, and FEC for optical and/or electrical communication. /li liExperience in modeling communication systems, with a preference for expertise in optoelectronics and optical channel modeling. /li liProficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, C/C++, or similar. /li liFamiliarity with Unix operating systems, particularly Linux, and version control systems, particularly SVN. /li liExperience with collaboration with IC designers. /li liKnowledge of intensity‑modulation/direct‑detect (IM/DD) optical communication systems. /li liAbility to present and defend technical information to colleagues. /li /ul h3Personal Profile /h3 ul liCommitment to technical excellence and continuous learning. /li liA critical and constructive mindset. /li liWillingness to take responsibility from implementation to validation in the laboratory. /li liProactive, problem‑solving attitude. /li liAttention to detail, especially when handling production‑related information. /li liStrong commitment to high‑quality, bug‑free development. /li liTeam‑oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
