Procurement at Airbus Defence and Space (Airbus SAU) seeks a Commodity Manager to support the Navigation and Surveillance commodity for systems procurement across all Airbus Defence and Space platforms. The role involves developing and executing sub‑commodity strategies, managing supplier relationships, and contributing to value‑creation initiatives that drive profitability and growth.

Responsibilities

-

- Establish, implement, and monitor a Sub‑Commodity strategy.

- Manage supplier relationships and related development programs.

- Lead the Sub‑Commodity Multi‑Functional Team.

- Drive provider selection processes – bids, tenders, and supplier selection.

- Contribute to procurement/value‑creation projects to deliver synergies and savings.

- Negotiate with suppliers to meet program expectations.

- Set up, negotiate, and manage contractual agreements.

- Lead Supplier Evaluation Development (SED) and vendor management.

Requirements

- Degree in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent.

- Minimum five years’ experience in procurement,



engineering, services, or project management, with proven skills in:

- Project Management

- Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and influence skills.

- Proven stakeholder management in a matrix environment.

- Risk assessment and mitigation capabilities.

- Strong relationship building, team building, motivation, and conflict management.

- Negotiation proficiency in English.

- Knowledge of SAP is an asset.

Additional Information

This position has a high visibility within procurement and closely interfaces with PMO, Services, and Engineering. The role requires awareness of compliance risks and a commitment to integrity.
