ph3Job Description /h3pWe are seeking an experienced, inspirational and highly motivated Deputy Head of Primary and Early Years to join our leadership team. Working closely with the Head of Primary, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering outstanding education and care for children across our school. /ppThis is a key leadership position with responsibility for supporting the strategic direction, daily leadership, and continued development of high-quality teaching, learning and pastoral provision from Early Years through to the end of primary education. /ppThe successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with proven leadership experience, a strong understanding of early years and primary education, and the ability to lead, inspire and develop staff. You will help drive school improvement, promote excellent outcomes for pupils, and ensure a nurturing, ambitious and inclusive learning environment. /ppThis is an exciting opportunity for a committed leader ready to take the next step in senior leadership within a caring and forward-thinking school community. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3h3Leadership and School Development /h3ulliWork in partnership with the Head of Primary and Early Years to implement the school’s vision and development priorities /liliContribute to school self-evaluation and improvement planning /liliLead and/or support whole-school initiatives and development projects /liliProvide effective leadership across agreed areas of responsibility /li /ulh3Teaching, Learning and Curriculum /h3ulliPromote consistently high standards of teaching and learning across Early Years and Primary /liliMonitor and evaluate the quality of education through learning walks, lesson observations and data analysis /liliSupport the development and delivery of a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum /liliLead on agreed curriculum,



assessment or pedagogical priorities /li /ulh3Staff Leadership and Development /h3ulliSupport, coach and develop teachers and support staff to improve practice /liliContribute to performance management and appraisal processes /liliPromote a collaborative and reflective professional culture /li /ulh3Safeguarding, Behaviour and Wellbeing /h3ulliPromote a positive, safe and inclusive school culture /liliSupport the implementation of effective behaviour and pastoral systems /liliEnsure safeguarding responsibilities are upheld in line with statutory guidance and school policy /li /ulh3Operational Leadership /h3ulliOversee agreed operational areas such as timetabling, assessment, attendance or enrichment /liliSupport smooth day-to-day running of the school /liliDeputise for the Head of Primary and Early Years when required /li /ulh3Skills /h3ulliStrong leadership and organizational skills. /liliExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities. /liliKnowledge of departmental best practices and tools. /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulliBachelor’s degree in a relevant field. /lili5+ years of experience in departmental management. /liliProven track record of successful departmental leadership. /li /ulh3ISP Principles /h3h3Begin with our children and students /h3pOur children and students are at the heart of what we do.
