You will help ensure that tools, machinery, materials and operational equipment are properly maintained, documented, stored and ready for use, working closely with the Workshop Asset Manager and the Dive Resources, Marine and Service Delivery teams. /p /brh3As Workshop Technician 2, your work will focus on these responsibilities: /h3 /brul /brliCarry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance, cleaning and basic repairs of workshop tools, machinery and operational equipment. /li /brliPrepare, test, load and unload equipment for service operations and mobilisations, and check returned equipment before storage. /li /brliSupport the basic maintenance and preparation of diving and service equipment under the supervision of qualified personnel. /li /brliReceive, identify, label, store and issue tools, materials, spare parts and consumables. /li /brliMaintain accurate inventory, maintenance and equipment‑movement records, including the relevant SAP entries and documentation. /li /brliMonitor the condition, inspection dates and certification status of workshop machinery, tools and lifting accessories, and report or quarantine defective equipment. /li /brliSupport purchasing, supplier coordination, deliveries, stock counts and workshop logistics. /li /brliMaintain safe, clean and organised workshop,
warehouse and waste‑storage areas, following QHSE procedures and correct waste segregation. /li /br /ul /brh3To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: /h3 /brul /brliA vocational technical qualification, or equivalent practical experience, in mechanical, electrical, industrial, marine or general maintenance. /li /brliHands‑on experience with workshop tools, machinery and maintenance activities. /li /brliBasic knowledge of preventive maintenance, equipment inspection and mechanical or electrical fault‑finding. /li /brliStrong safety awareness and a willingness to follow QHSE procedures and report risks or unsafe conditions. /li /brliGood organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to maintain clear records while managing several priorities. /li /brliThe ability to work independently on routine tasks and to recognise when specialist repairs need to be escalated. /li /brliGood teamwork and communication skills. Spanish is required, and working English is considered an advantage. /li /brliBasic computer skills. Experience with SAP or another maintenance or inventory system is considered an advantage. /li /br /ul /brpIn this role, occasional travel may be required to support other Wärtsilä Underwater Services locations or operational activities.
