Mission

As a integral Demand Forecaster, you will join a diverse team passionate about statistics, machine learning which uses quantitative forecasting methods to drive business value.

The primary responsibility of a forecaster is to perform the monthly cycle (through R and Kinaxis), executing all forecast preparation activities (such as cleansing, outlier detection, model parameter optimization) and monthly forecasting review with the markets. Through these activities we can ensure the team provides the most accurate and business appropriate statistical baseline for Sanofi global demand.

Furthermore, you will drive improvements to the team’s processes by contributing to the team’s code base, developing new algorithms, automating tasks, improving forecast adoption and accuracy and data visualization. It is preferable that you have a good level of either R or Python.

Activities

- Adjusts, reviews and validates cleansing parameters and outlier detection for historical data based on information gathered from the markets.
- Performs a forecast review by exception (based on alerts) and according to relative product importance (segmentation).
- Take part in the digital transformation, assessing the value of the different forecasting methods,



explaining them in business terms and acting as an advocate for the benefits of utilizing advanced analytics for Sanofi.

- Analyze forecasting performance from previous months and take appropriate action.
- Execute root-cause analysis (RCA) to support the business on improving performance in order to put patients first.
- Up to 20% of your time is dedicated to project work, driving continuous improvement for the team.

Directly manages the relationship with local Demand Planners:

- Integrates Market insights into the models (causal factors, outliers) and assumptions exchange / clarification during the Monthly Alignment Meeting.
- Focus on automatization to increase market “buy-in” and grow adoption of statistical forecast.

Requirements

Software: R or Python programming (intermediate). Kinaxis (basic) and Data Visualization (Power BI) will be valued

Skills: Supply Chain, Statistics, Time-Series analysis.

Languages: Advanced English
