We are looking for an organized, hands-on English Freelance Editor, who has a keen eye for detail, understands how to optimize content, and possesses a critical thinking mindset to transform macroeconomic articles into high-quality content in a timely manner.

- Establish and uphold language quality standards for FocusEconomics’ written content, and keep FE writing guidelines updated.
- Proofread and edit critical written content, distributed across our various platforms, in a timely manner according to FE deadlines.
- Ensure critical written content is consistent with our style guide, and our broader aims and objectives (i.e. free from political bias, concise & precise, etc).
- Liaise with, take direction from and support FocusEconomics’ chief editor in their role.

- Native English speaker

- A bachelor's degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications, and/or English

- Interested in performing editorial duties (proofreading, copyediting, and providing constructive feedback to in-house and external writers). Past editing experience would be a bonus.
- Well-organized and with excellent time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling,



and adapting as necessary
- Great attention to detail and love of the English language
- Capable of developing ideas and proposals, and suggests improvements proactively
- Excellent self-motivation, written/verbal communication, and people skills
- Team player with a collaborative spirit
- Interest in global current affairs, experience with macroeconomics would be a bonus
