- Rehabilitation Unit Leopardstown, Dublin Salary: €70,000 per annum About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to join a community-based rehabilitation unit in Leopardstown.
This service supports patients transitioning from acute hospitals, primarily those requiring Level 2 and Level 3 rehabilitation, with a strong focus on care of older persons.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality medical care in a 25–50 bed rehabilitation unit
* Perform comprehensive admission assessments and ongoing patient reviews
* Conduct daily ward rounds and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
* Manage and optimise medication plans (including prescribing and deprescribing)
* Monitor patient progress and respond to clinical changes
* Liaise with GPs,



geriatric specialists, nursing staff, and allied health professionals
* Support discharge planning and safe transition to community care
* Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation Working Environment
* Modern rehabilitation facility based in Leopardstown
* Collaborative multidisciplinary team including physiotherapy, occupational xqbhyrx therapy, speech & language therapy, and dietetics
* Regular input from a Consultant Geriatrician
