About AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS)

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centres and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep customers continually connected to the services they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply‑chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key Job Responsibilities

-

- Setting and maintaining the highest standards for safety and actively promoting a world‑class safety culture in all aspects of operational procedure.

- Driving continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardisation of procedures and policies, while delivering performance against agreed metrics.

- Enabling the operations organisation to deliver 100% uptime on all customer supporting infrastructure.

- Collaborating effectively with internal & external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence for all AWS customers.

- Follow the standard operation procedures and track issues through appropriate entries into a Trouble Ticket system.

- Priorise appropriately in a complex, fast‑paced environment.

- Assess incoming rack power requirements to ensure adequate system capacity.

- Conduct pre‑delivery circuit testing to verify proper functionality.

- Perform rack energisation, including battery and automatic transfer switch testing.

- Installation and organisation of cabling infrastructure and containment systems for rack equipment.

- Execute comprehensive system walk‑throughs to confirm proper rack installation and update related monitoring systems.





- Familiarise with rack operational sequences to address potential issues during testing procedures.

- Perform system walk‑throughs to verify proper installation of racks and updating of their related monitoring systems.

Physical Requirements

- Availability to move between local sites in order to cover different locations on a daily basis.

- Work at heights and from ladders.

- Perform physical tasks on a daily basis.

- Work in a noisy environment with ear protection.

- Wear personal protection equipment (PPE).

- Instalación y organización de la infraestructura de cableado y sistemas de contención para equipos de rack.

- Ejecutar recorridos completos del sistema para confirmar la instalación adecuada de los racks y actualizar los sistemas de monitoreo relacionados.

- Familiarizarse con las secuencias operativas de los racks para abordar posibles problemas durante los procedimientos de prueba.

- Realizar recorridos del sistema para verificar la instalación adecuada de los racks y actualizar sus Sistemas de Monitoreo relacionados.

Basic Qualifications

-

- FP (Electrical) or equivalent experience.

- Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory.

- Use of spreadsheet, basic office automation.





- May require working in cramped spaces or elevated locations.

- Ability to lift up to 20 kg and stand for extended periods.

- Valid work authorisation in Spain.

Preferred Qualifications

-

- B1 level or equivalent, with emphasis on written comprehension and expression (English).

- Experience with hand tools and technical assembly.
